It is said he was racist to Kim Bo Young. But then Kim signed for Wigan and Malky like a shot. So don't give me that racist bullshit.

There were plenty of Uncle Toms during the era of slavery to, it doesn't mean that all Black people were fine with it  The fact is Malky used Racist language, I don't know what the debate is, as he has admitted it and was wrong in doing so. Many on here try to excuse his behaviour as no more than what we all do. What you don't realise is that Malky was representing a multi million pound business that operates in a multi billion pound business, it ain't the same as some builder, office worker etc sending texts down the pub
I wish him luck, as I don't believe he should have his career ended over such a thing, however, I also don't think he is the new Messiah, as some of the deluded do on here. He had a good opportunity at Wigan, with decent players and a supportive Chairman and couldn't turn it around, But hey, don't let the facts get in the way :thumbright:

Why does it make it any different on a building site to an office?

I am afraid there is no difference based on the amount of money you are dealing with. weather its a multi million pound business or a bloke doing day work for 50 quid a day, your believes and actions cannot be deemed different due to your stature.
just some are more widely reported and some are just treated as banter to suit the time and place which is Hippocratic in mind.
Neither are correct.
As for the achievement that is in the history of the club, as is the crap that followed. No doubt the best times at the club since the 60's without doubt and then one of the worst.

Of course the position of the person makes a difference on how such things are treated, in a utopian world everyone is treated the same, however this is reality and I'm afraid to break it to you, everyone is not equal

Good luck to him if he gets the job.

Best manager I've seen at Cardiff City in my lifetime, along with Dave Jones.

A great manager who has a promotion on his CV.

If Malky gets backed financially he'll probably just piss it up the wall, buying talent like Cornelius.

I doubt he will get 500k at Charlton let alone 10million :laughing6:

I was sorry to see Malky go and I agree with those who state he was one of our best coaches ever.

However, he proved to be well out of his depth in the transfer market and £8m which could have been spent elsewhere was completely shot on a player who was frankly awful.

Whilst many factors contributed to our woeful season in the Premiership the loss of such an amount has to count as a major contributory factor.

With such incompetence he had to pay with his job and did.

People go on about Cornelius for 8m but what about:

Mutch - 2m
Kim Bo - 1.5m - great in promotion season
Conway, Taylor, Cowie, Gestede, Gunarsson, Helguson and Bellamy - All free
Connolly - 500k
Noone - 1m
Campbell - 500k
Mason - 250k

Some great bargains before we got to the Premiership.
