Ole was never one of the brightest young prospects. He won a league that no-one cares about FFS

There's no point our Scandinavian friend won't understand.

Ohh I do! Made it very clear right here :thumbright:

What made Ole get the premier league job is still there. Ole is the same, but one experience richer. Cardiff City isn't exactly the best place to be, so I see no reason why he still can't get a international career.

When Ole sell the highest earners and replace them with young cheaper options he is an idiot. When Slade does the same he is some kind of martyr working under difficult circumstances. You couldn't make it up.. If you don't see why Ole left, and why they dug up Slade the joke is on you..

When did Ole replace our highest earners with young cheap options?

You mist the relegation and the ins and outs after? No Wonder You Get confused.. Ill do a " city premier league team, and where are they now" And a " future spine of England, who mysteriously disappeared " just for you :D
You love Malky for braking his budget, and hate Ole for sticking to it. And now Slade is some kind of martyr :laughing6:

You're not very bright are you.

Malky assembled a squad largely of free transfers for his first season and took us to the playoffs and the Carling Cup final.

Malky was backed to build on the squad he assembled during his first season and we won the title by 8 points. Our promotion to the Premiership hugely benefitted our club financially.

Malky then spent millions in our Premiership season (as any manager of a newly promoted Premiership team does) and we never entered the relegation zone during his reign. Cornelius aside, I thought Malky spent quite well. We only played 2 teams at home that finished in the bottom half of the Premiership that season, Swansea and West Brom, which were both 1-0 wins. I believe we would have picked up many more results at home against the teams in the bottom half around us, as Malky always made us organised and hard to beat. Unfortunately, Tan's disruptions had a huge effect on our performances towards the end of Malky's reign and we never got to find out if Malky would have kept us up, but I strongly believe he would have without Tan's disruptive interference.

Ole then gets hired and spends millions signing his 3 Norweigians, 2 of them, Eikrem and Berget were nowhere near good enough. Daehli looked a great talent but wasn't suited to the British game. Zaha and Kenwyne got brought in who are the exact characters we didn't need for a relegation battle at that level. But my biggest criticism of Ole was his tactical decisions (who else would replace a right back with another right back when 2-0 down at Swansea?). As soon as we entered the relegation zone under Ole, we didn't get back out. We were so open it was unreal, losing 3-0 and 4-0 at home to teams we finished above in the Championship the previous season. Ole turned us from a well organised unit to a disorganised mess. Ole was completely out of his depth. He was then like a kid in a sweet shop spending millions to build his own oversized, unfit squad which struggled in the Championship. Under Ole, our club went drastically backwards and we took a massive financial hit.

Slade then got brought in, taking on the near impossible task of sorting out Ole's mess, trimming the squad and drastically cutting the budget, while still keeping us competitive. Slade has done all that, but he's done more than kept us competitive. Slade has improved us this season without being given a single penny to spend in the transfer market and we are currently 1 point off the playoffs. Slade has done an incredible job so far and it baffles me how some fans still want Slade out.

I drink to that. :thumbright: :occasion5: :ayatollah:

I'm generally doing very good thank you  and if that is your take on reality it's just as fun as it is sad mate.
ironically most of Oles signings are playing at better clubs, bar Medel Malkys premier team hardly play at all.. Slade the martyrs signings doesn't play either.. So that leaves the economics of it. By your statement Morrisson is on higher salary than Caulker, Adeyemi is on higher salary than Much, and Daehli is on higher salary, we'll take your pick! He signed when 17 years old.. Not suited for the English game. He grew up there you numpty

I wasn't particularly impressed with the swans game either. But Slade bringing Turner as a striker will always stand as a all time high for me :laughing6:

It is very simplistic Wez. Like i said earlier, not many of the players held the standard of premier league at Cardiff. History of these players show that, and not many play at this level today. They sit on the bench.. Did Ole spend wisely? No not at all, but he didnt stand a chance! He he failed to sign his main targets Mame Diuf and Fonte. He should also have pushed Tan for a bigger budget than the 7 million he got. He needed at least double that to save relegation. That said, he signed a lot of players for the money, and the team was desperate for squad depth. Both on top and at the back. He shouldnt have signed the Norwegians, even though he signed them for the future. It dosent mean they are not good footballer, because they are. But all media said he would be judged by that if he failed, and he did. What ever manager would have come in would have to hit jackpot with his signings. And with three key players. At the back, a striker and a strong midfielder. Some idiots like Tonteg think Kenwayne and Cala was wrong signings, but it was the best we could get with the money available. Bar the Hull and Palace game, we had both chances enough with no goal scorer, and to many personal errors to get the points needed. But competitive enough more often than not. The stamp Ole gets from a few, like a kid in a candy shop.. Its just rubbish! He sold for more money than he re invested. And he invested mostly in young talent like he is known to do. As for his championship campaign. Well, this is why most of us outside Britain laugh at the sack race championship. 7 games with a new squad. Surely even the championship brigade can identify the idiocy.. What makes it more simplistic, but stands as the same challenge for both Malky and Ole, and to an extent Slade is the dividends that ruled the club at the time. Ole told Morten Petersen that he was shocked that there was forces within the club working for them to fail. The Politics ruined this club for a long time to come, and it will take a long time to heal. The simple minds want to place that blame on Oles shoulders. Convenient maybe, but it dosent hold root, and it dosent solve anything!
