Slade has exceeded the expectations of most City fans, it has been a solid start and I am starting to believe we could do better than my pre season prediction of 10th-12th position.

With three quarters of the season to play it is a long way to go but the play offs are not out of the question and what I have seen so far I am starting to believe we can do it.

so Russel Slade told us to judge him after 12 games we are 8th place 1 point of the play offs, 8 points off top spot and 10 points from safety.

personally the quality of football is awful imo we don't play decent football but we are getting some results i think we will be lucky to get the play offs at the moment

if we can stay there or there abouts until january and then hopefully bring in a few players it could see us sneak a play off place.

We will be lucky to end up where we are now, yesterday's game was awful, by both teams, however i have been impressed by a lot of our home displays but that form seems to have gone out of the window again

I feel we will just fall short of the play offs.

I believe we will do better than what I thought but I do feel that is down to the lack of quality in the Championship. Some clubs I expected to do well don't look all that much.

If we do go up it will be interesting if to see if Slade will be given the chance in the premier.

I have said from Day one Slade is Tans Yes Man and nothing will change that.
Nothing personal against Slade, he has plied his trade in the doldrums and is getting rewarded now, but the club won't go forwards with him at the helm.

although im glad to see Slade doing well. i think people are over-stating the rebuild job he has had to do here.

Yes he has got rid of a lot of players. But taking out the 5 obvious teams in the championship with high budgets (boro, derby, hull, burnley and QPR) our wage bill is still going to be up there with the rest of them.

Its not like we have done a blackpool and operate on a shoestring budget

Very consistent start to the season. Much more organised and disciplined. Seem to now have a stable Starting XI. We look 100000x better than the Cardiff City I saw this time last season.

Barely spent a penny this season, not sure Saadi has cost much in terms of fee and wages and we've continued to get the wage budget down even more. All this with being a point off the play-off and 4 points off an automatic place makes me feel like we've started the season well

Drawn away to Brighton (who're undefeated), drawn away to QPR and beaten Middlesbrough (both big teams). Only lost 2 out of 12. And the two we lost - Hull at home (we played very well) and Rotherham away (lost in the last minute, unlucky not to draw).

We haven't been hammered and outplayed as of yet and we're a lot more organised and have become tough to beat.

I had my doubts about Slade but the man has done very well so far without spending millions. Just hope we can keep this up. Well done on a great start Russell Slade!

Better than expected by my expectations were very low to begin with.

Quality of football is awful I agree Annis.

The lack of pace and creativity is appalling - that is a major factor in fans not flooding through the gates.

I think fans would rather us be very very bad or very very good..... there is nothing worse than indifference and that is what the style of football and the actions of our club has created.

Back to Slade.... no confidence in his ability to maintain a top 6 place.

To be fair Slade has done a much better job than what I expected fair play to him. I've always said I have No faith in him and can't see our club moving forward under his management but bit by bit he's starting to prove me wrong. But it's a long season, and things can change very quickly in this league. But judging him after 12 games, all I can say is he's doing a good job, whether it continues who knows but fingers crossed it will
