For me Bristol City and Newport are my main rivals and I have always stated this :thumbright:

I just put what ever news/ write up is out in the media :ayatollah:

This article is not written by a Cardiff fans.

No doubt the article is written by someone who realises the Cardiff and Swansea are each other's main rival. I know a spurs fan who says Chelsea are spurs biggest rivals, but he and a few others who think like that, aren't really a fair representation of reality, because spurs main rivals are Arsenal. Just like Cardiff's main rivals are the mighty jacks.

I think you'll find the 'Jacks' rivals are indeed Cardiff City FC, but the same cannot be said the other way around

Traditionally, the Bristol clubs (City in particular) have been Cardiff's main 'rivals' and Swansea have only had a relatively small and recent 'rivalry' with their capital club

As a Cardiff City supporter (you must be, as you spend more time on the Cardiff web-site talking about them than most ;) ) you should know that! ;)

From FB

Lee Chapman Swansea by a mile

Martin Davies Lee that is wrong atleast I as a cardiff fan has admitted that our attendance is currently not as good by that is temporary it certainly on that understanding "by a mile " is inappropriate anyway who gives a damn this is a stupid post. Sorry annis until we get back to the same division as Swansea its not really significant more relevant the fellow teams in the championship

Lee Chapman We are filling only half our stadium, they are selling out week after week. I am sorry I am not wrong. I am realistic. Our fans don't even sing anymore it is like a morg

Martin Davies What do u expect we are lucky to have what is left but it will get back gradually that is my point lee

Lee Chapman Yeh maybe Martin but he asked who has the better home support. At the moment it's Swansea.... It's like asking how much I weigh and me saying a couple stone lighter than I am just because potentially in a few months I may be

Martin Davies Ah it's an ambiguous question just because some people still don't go to the stadium doesn't mean they don't support the club and won't be going it's true.

Lee Chapman The question said home support (crowds, atmosphere etc) not how many supporters the club has in general.

Martin Davies No it says who has the best home support I'm sorry you can't compare the two Swansea are in a higher league but have got a smaller stadium we have had multi off field problems they have not compare the two when we are back in the same division not now it's a waste of time

Martin Davies Just a point I think the emphasis and comparison should be made not with what is the best support of Swansea and cardiff but in the comparisons of how a club should be run as it is obvious that Swansea during the past few years knew how to run a club and our owners did not that is a much more constructive analysis at this stage to make if cardiff took the Swansea model in that respect the crowd issues would not be an issue

With what we have had to endure over the last 60 years!!! 14,000 loyal supporters is pretty incredible.
Never mind the Swans, how many other clubs would have the same core of support we have if they had endured the same catalogue of events that we have. Answer: probably 1... Newcastle!
I'd say we have 14,000 more true supporters than you'll find at Old Trafford!

Could also be said that Swansea's rivals are now Man utd, Chelsea, Arsenal etc and cardiff's rivals are Brentford, Rotherham, MK Dons etc and younger Swans fans will not see cardiff as the Swans main rivals, if the gap continues to be as big as it is now.

Right here right now it's Swansea. Can't argue with there 20500 crowds to our 13-14 K Not even the most biased City fan can argue against that. Potential ? That doesn't count as red loving prem loving glory fans ain't potential just hangers on.
For now we have to except no matter how much it hurts they are above us in every way except we will batter them off the pitch every time.

Of course you will. I bet you are harder than any guy from Swansea. :laughing6:

This year Swansea will have an average attendance figure higher than Cardiff for only the 2nd time in 24 years. However they have had higher average gates in 12 of the last 50 years. Eleven of those were in the years of their promotion to the first division, the 2 years in that division and most of the following decade. It's likely that their support will be even more sustainable this time given their success.

Newcastle average bigger crowds than spurs, but that doesn't mean Newcastle are a bigger club or better supported than spurs.

If anyone still thinks that this moron is Roathie, then they need to read this gibberish.
He may of been a neurotic sociopath, but he was literate with a triple digit IQ. This imbecile struggles.

Good. Love the way you pick 3 small clubs from the championship  what an ass you are. Most clubs in our league are bigger than the jacks and have all spent time in the prem of late. Maybe our rivals are Bristol, Leeds and Birmingham? I'd take them over the embarrassing jack army any day.... 8-)
