For me Bristol City and Newport are my main rivals and I have always stated this![]()

No doubt the article is written by someone who realises the Cardiff and Swansea are each other's main rival. I know a spurs fan who says Chelsea are spurs biggest rivals, but he and a few others who think like that, aren't really a fair representation of reality, because spurs main rivals are Arsenal. Just like Cardiff's main rivals are the mighty jacks.
I think you'll find the 'Jacks' rivals are indeed Cardiff City FC, but the same cannot be said the other way around
Traditionally, the Bristol clubs (City in particular) have been Cardiff's main 'rivals' and Swansea have only had a relatively small and recent 'rivalry' with their capital club
As a Cardiff City supporter (you must be, as you spend more time on the Cardiff web-site talking about them than most) you should know that!

For now we have to except no matter how much it hurts they are above us in every way except we will batter them off the pitch every time.

Could also be said that Swansea's rivals are now Man utd, Chelsea, Arsenal etc and cardiff's rivals are Brentford, Rotherham, MK Dons etc and younger Swans fans will not see cardiff as the Swans main rivals, if the gap continues to be as big as it is now.

However they have had higher average gates in 12 of the last 50 years. Eleven of those were in the years of their promotion to the first division, the 2 years in that division and most of the following decade. It's likely that their support will be even more sustainable this time given their success.
