Are we saying that most folk here support a racist manager as their no 1? Is football more important than our beliefs? I ask that guys as that is certainly something I would stand against for my children's sake. Being originally from the Docks I boxed all over Wales, if my coach was racist, no matter if he brought me a Welsh title, I would have turned away from him. Malky was a good solid manager, I hated his boring footie, and he still has a legion of fans, not disputing that. He sold Gestede on the cheap, he bought the Danish Beanpole for crazy money, the last straw for me. Are you Malky lovers blinded by that fact that he.made you happy, while deep down he described people in racist overtones?
I only post this as a true freedom of debate to which in past years my peoples would not have had that choice. I love Cardiff City, I love the fans, the passion, the ups and downs, the forums, the history. To me Dave Jones brought the best brand of exciting footie!! Do you agree??

I have watched this club since 1960 and although there were some great times watching the likes of Toshack and Brian Jones playing us to the top end of of the league only to sell our best players and fall away from our chance of promotion, believe me the reign under Malky was special and no matter what he did or what happens in the future this was our special time!
Forget all the crap and remember where we were and what he did. Premiership managers have spent millions and got nowhere or at best 4th and rejoice in champions leagues but let me tell you our promotion year was our best ever and that is in the history books. I am happy for anyone to beat it and will follow as long as my health allows me but after 55 years I am happy to have been part of that time

Don Murray, Peter King , Rnnie Bird , Toshack and Brian Clark . I can't remember who scored a ha trick but he ran across to Scoular to get his 5 quid bonus because he knew Scoular wouldn't give it after the game! If Dave Jones was a nearly man then Scoular was as well (except for the Welsh cup) but both those managers gave the fans everything to shout about without a bloody drum in sight. We played Bangor City in the Welsh cup and there were about 50 people in the whole ground but what an atmosphere!

Our family moved up to Cardiff early in '76, and I caught the run-in for promotion from division 3. They were great days. Got a lot of time for Richie Morgan, too. At the time I was working in Sharpe & Fisher, off Collingdon Road in the Docks ,and a few of the lads there were City fans. Richie got a lot of stick, being compared to Toshack, who was at Swansea at the same time. Looking back, though, Richie's record stands up well. Good bloke, too. One of us.

Malky and Scoular for me are two of our greatest managers.
Def Durban and sadly Ole joins Durban as two of our worst managers in history.

This is exactly what I think. In fact the only slight difference between us is that I rate DJ slightly higher and Lennie slightly lower than you have done.

I felt sorry for Richie Morgan, we were 9th in Div 2 at the time and playing well having just beaten Leicester 3-1 at Ninian Park...Graham Williams was shocking on par with Durban & OGS for me.
Eddie May completley regenerated the club with Rick Wright, 92-93 will always be my favourite season watching city
Frank Burrows was great in his 2 spells we played some great football in his promotion sides, everyone that pulled on a blue shirt would run through a brick wall for him
In 40 years of watching football Dave Jones produced the best footballing sides to watch and worked miracles really considering he had little money to spend. He had to rebuild each season he was here, signing some bargains and selling them for big money using the money to improve the squad that he had. I have no doubt that if he was given the funds that Malky had we would have got promoted under DJ
