Annis, that's the best football we've played for months tonight
Our passing was good and I thought Fabio was the best player on the field
We should have had at least one penalty
I thought Slade was spot on with his substitutes but if it's not your night you get nothing
Plenty of positives tonight and on another night playing like that would have given us a big victory
The atmosphere was a lot better tonight even if again under 14,000 turned up
Onwards and upwards for the bluebirds after tonight

Crowd tonight, best they've been this season :ayatollah:

In front of goal we lacked tonight, everything else was excellent

Players gave everything :ayatollah:

Mason, really not sure about him?

Whitts only good at set pieces etc

How insane does that sound? I wonder what Bruce says about it? Hull were BATTERED.

It does sound insane, a great game, without testing their goalie, really enjoyed it and we lost

Steve Bruce, had them well organised at the back.

Brilliant performance in general but it does show we need an out and out goalscorer! Someone WHO will score 20 goals noone in team can do that, also think we are setup not to lose bit like malkys teams without ability to get goal's!

mallo wrote:Crowd was not big but thanks to the canton stand singing and whit helped by ninian and the very empty family stand did back the players

The game would of been so much different had one or two legit penalty had been given

on a plus I thought the passing was spot on just a few crosses Jones just could not connect with mason missed a sitter first two minutes just missing left hand post

Fabio was battling - running - passing and creating for 94 mins definitely man of the match

Peltier seemed to get drafted into a few tussles but showed he takes no nonsense

Nice to see Marshall disposing of the ball and keeping play moving usually quite slow in releasing but was spot on tonight

overall referee clearly spoilt the game card happy and I would like a share of his winnings :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Well done to the squad and fans :ayatollah:

Mallo,
Crowd was small, but we showed tonight we can back our team :thumbright:

We should of had at least 2 penalties tonight and we would of then won

Love Fabio, :ayatollah:

Peltier, tough player :ayatollah:

Marshall always controls his box :thumbright:

Ref a disgrace

Good to see you tonight :ayatollah: Serbia here we comeb :thumbright: :thumbright:

Shame about that second goal though, killed the optimism right off :(

Best game for me this season, just can't believe we lost.

We did not deserve to lose and second goal does not tell the story of the game.

Don't know on Connolly?

If we play like that for the rest of the season I think we will end up in the top 6 and if we had a striker with pace we could be pushing for promotion. Very good performance excellent football which is a complete contrast to the tripe we endured most of last season. Credit must be given to Slade and his coaching team and the fans responded tonight by applauding the team off despite a 2-0 defeat.

I think it is now time for the stay away fans to return because the football is entertaining and we are playing with commitment and passion let's put last season behind us and come and support the boys :bluescarf: :sladein: :bluebird: :old:

Fabio. Love his attitude. I honestly cannot understand how he gets any negative criticism. Fast becoming one of my favourite players to don the shirt. Lots of positives (again) tonight and the best team lost. Steve Bruce is a great manager and I felt he set up Hulls defence well to cancel out our main goalscoring threats. Great to hear the Canton and Ninian singing and especially when Hull had scored their goals, we always do that away and I love it as it lifts everyone. Chants of the season so far are 'Scotland's Number 2' and 'David Marshall's Better Than You' to Allan 'Slo-Mo' McGregor. Saw the ref getting out of his car before the game, so on the way out did to his tyres what he done to us.

A performance RS will be quietly delighted with and good to know the crowd are not stupid enough to say the best team always wins.

The ref had a bad day at the office, but the character shown against such poor decisions was something to be proud of.

Luck evens out so they say, so that's one chalked up as unlucky. The key is to keep the faith and soldier on.

It'll be interesting to see their next game in the cup. I forget who they drew now!!! :laughing6: :laughing6: :laughing6: :laughing6:

Canton was loud last night fair play and even the Ninian Sang, keep it up lads :bluebird:

John, I believe in that over a season so called luck evens out :thumbright:

Yes Slade can be happy with team, but we need to sort out in front of goal?

Annis, there is little doubt that the team is in better shape this season despite 'pruning'. The dilemma facing RS and the board is do they spend big on a loaned who could net 20+ goals if it means going back on the policy of reducing outgoings?

I do feel that there is room for developing what is already there in terms of sharpening up reflexes in front of goal and getting better service to the striker from midfield. But there is only so much you can do.

I hate to admit it but a loaned striker with an option to buy if promotion happens could be the way forward. The wages and bonuses could be huge but at least it gives a shot at the big time. Then the shit will hit the fan. Lol.
