We thought the same Wez, that the price was excessive, but that is the price they are paying and stuck in a contract with.

Carl I don't understand this, if Compass have the catering rights and they give City 12% then City don't buy the beer/lager Compass do

Normally the fittings ie pumps beer lines ,coolers are free from the brewarys so the one million up front must of been just to get the business

Sorry to upset you Carl luvvies but this is really a nothing update and no real concrete news. Shows all this posturing by the club/Slade about a midfielder was never ever going to happen. And why wasn't this said? - because bad publicity and PR would have made even more fans angry and question the ambition of the club. Again dishonesty - just like Turner was going to be back in 6-8 weeks. I'll go for 4 month/December in the end. We've ordered more blue shirts - hard to get excited about this when we were looking for much more from a Carl Update.

Or maybe the club or whoever told Carl is just bluffing and we are in for players only time will tell

Totally agree. I assumed the idea of us loaning players out was so we could free up some spare wages to bring in this centre midfielder Slade wanted, but obviously not! What a disappointment!

I think we have all been surprised how well the midfield has been playing and the captain of Iceland can't get on the pitch and the likes Kennedy can't get in the squad. Can't see the need to bring anyone in right now and it's a long window

1/ They got the hardware and we got the software !! What the fooking Fook does that mean Chief ?
2/ Slade leaves for work at 7am and arrives at 7.30 !! I leave at 6.30 and arrive at 7.30 hmmmm
3/ £160 for a barrel of piss and water !! Compass serve shit and piss and wonder why not many people use it ? Well the ones that are left that is :laughing6:
Peltier a captain ? Needs to work on his overall game first. But yes it's fantastic the Club is now heading in the right direction. I am sure over time the old guard fans will return, but to get back to where we were as terms to the support we had in the Prem, we need the glory hunting fans back and to be honest we are better off without them. :ayatollah:

I take your point from the last 2 posts. I am thrilled we have started so well but the dishonesty still stands out. Gunner can't get in because Digachoi is playing well and Gunner is injured. Admittedly a good dilemma to have though. Hope Pilkington is not going on one of his Sicknote haunts as his solidity is crucial to our success.

I'm more than happy with Gunnarsson, but Kennedy isn't a centre midfielder. What if Whittingham gets injured? We can't move Ralls from the left side of midfield at the moment as he's playing so well there, tucking in to boost our centre midfield and covering to allow Malone/Fabio to bomb forwards. So if Whittingham gets injured, we only have Gunnarsson and O'Keefe to step in, two holding midfielders.

I'm more than happy to play with two holding midfielders in the centre away from home to keep us solid, but at home we can do with another centre midfielder to burst forwards, penetrate and be a goal threat. Gunnarsson can do this to an extent, but if we could use the wages we've freed up from loaning out Doyle, Adeyemi, Kiss, John, Healy etc plus offloading Guerra to bring in Kevin Nolan - a leader with the experience, quality and character to give us those extra goals and points; I would then believe we have a squad good enough for automatic promotion.

I was thinking of Gunnarsson and Ralls as additional cover for midfield right now with Noone, Ameobi and Kennedy to fill in out wide. I would love Nolan but can't see him leaving London nor us paying his wages. All I was suggesting was that the need for an extra midfielder wasn't as urgently needed as first thought although that could of course change at any time especially if we lose some games

Nukes, I think that's a demonstration of the new tactics to be employed by Macheda. The idea is that when he finally gets off the bench he must always fall over ACROSS the pitch, so as to be more of a hinderance to the opposition than he would normally be! :laughing6: :laughing6:

Your son is an ADULT, you could have easily moved to a more appropriate stand. 16-21 was the pricing, last season I'd have assumed they were banking on staying up so accepted it but your son is an adult now. God knows why you'd want to stay in the Family Stand. The Canton Stand has the same view and a better atmosphere. Ken Choo isn't full of shit, he's actually quite helpful and has plenty of dialogue with fans. Don't let one incident blinker your views

Re: ' TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 8th 2015 CCFC UPDATE '

I would have thought Slade is the man who knows whether or not an additional midfield player is required in order for the club to try and reach the next level. As it seems there is someone at the club who is even more qualified than Slade to decide what additional players are needed, perhaps that person should take over as head coach, and we can save a bit of money on Slade's wages. Nothing much changes at this club, and they wonder why season ticket sales are low.

With all due respect, how has this gone from being in talks with a midfielder just waiting for an issue to be resolved at his holding club to Slade being told by someone else at the club that we dont need another midfield player? Wasnt that the story being told on here?
With regards with people returning, i think any success brings more supporters. Thats the same in any sport all over the world. If the club are near the top of the league then people will return even if it is a case of them picking and choosing games.
The beer is a strange 1, surely Compass order stock and thats why city get a kick back on any sales? Why would the club pay for the stock and still receive 12% back on sales?

So we brought in a striker that will no doubt play in the development squad. Then we loan out 3 players.

You never had £1million upfront like City did.So it costs us more in the long run.
shows how bad things were before tan got involved hopefully give it another few years and we will be in a better position

It showed we had a stadium but with No money to furnish it.
Until the last 6 months our club had been run beyond a joke and during Tans years worse than ever that's why we are so much trouble now and our debt so high, sadly it's all true.

The good news is we are now on the right road to Revovery :thumbright: :ayatollah:

We do have a lot of central midfielders at the club, if Slade wants another then maybe he should answer to Choo and say why he needs them and what is to happen to the other players in central midfield.

And Ralls can be shifted to CM if needed.
