I've just been told Kevin Nolan is out of City's price range,as I had said in previous posts.
So the rumours are wrong as far as I've been told.
Rumours mean nothing but the bookies are never wrong
Rumours can come true,
Plus bookies can be wrong, just because say City had enquired about Nolan or even met him, that would make them make Nolan favourite, but it still does not guarantee he will sign.
Football can change at any moment.
I've been told Nolan is way over Slades budget.

So who was the experienced midfielder that Slade had agreed terms with?

City do not need him even if he was cheap.
City need an attacking midfield and a striker.
This has to be the post of the week

The thing is, he speculated once already but has'nt accumulated. I'm not sure he would be prepared to gamble again, especially as he has no guarantees of winning.

If Slade could pull this one off then I would start believing in him

well if Tan is serious about a promotion push then Nolan and the like is exactly the players we should be going for even if he has to terminate some contracts to justify Nolan's wages

Totally agree, maybe wishfull thinking, he is however odds on compared to the next best 10/1 so something is going on. If he comes great if not we move on. We would have a real great spine if we could pull it off and I have no doubt players would respond to him. He's a leader and the type we need

It will be a long time before we pay big wages again or buy real quality players.
