Not a good signing Annis, especially with his history.

If we hadn't signed a defensive player for back up, the same people who are crying about him now would moan at Slade for not doing so when injuries occur!!

Cheer up for f**k sake

I've seen very little of him so can't form an opinion one way or the other. If most of the posts here are correct, perhaps we intend playing for 0-0 draws for most of the season. Not to worry, can usually get odds of 7 or 8 to 1 for no goal scorer, could make us a few bucks.

Wow, he's played for loads of clubs for a a short period of time - had a few stints in the UK before which is good. Very experienced player at 31 and all of those clubs. My only question is why he has been loaned out so many times or played for so many clubs? Maybe only in recent times has he really made it as a player - perhaps this is his time with us! :bluescarf: welcome Tamas :bluescarf:

The reasons he's had more clubs than Tiger Woods are... He's either shit or he's trouble, or both.

As other posters have said, on balance, it makes sense for defensive cover over the season as we have been prone to injuries. Don't really know the player but he seems to have a colourful history to put it lightly, so I just hope he's not a negative influence and simply taking a season contract as no-one else is keen on him. I was at the game last night and what we are desperate for is a Chopra-like striker, as we are now creating chances that an effective striker would be converting. On a completely different subject, I bet that Lucy Worsley is an absolute screamer in the scratcher.

We have gone into many a season with just three main Co's in fact most of Dave Jones season we did that.

I just don't see the point, you can always switch players about or even use the loan market if needed.

Seems a pointless waste of money.

We have had to ship so many out, we do need cover, I suppose the Management team and players have had a close look at him and think he's good enough, so although not a big signing, it will give us some more cover........

Now time for a 20 goal a season plus Striker |!!!!

It's a free transfer, no harm in it at all!

He would of most likely had a big signing on fee plus his wages, I'll give him my support (if he is even used) but really think this is a waste of money

Another bunch of miserable and whining posts. I really think its time some of you left this board and this club.

Support the team, no matter who the manager is, who the owner is and who plays for the team. :sladein:

Cardiff's signing of Gabriel Tamas, 'subject to internationals clearance' and that should come soon enough, has been confirmed on the Official Website.

The length of contract signed by former Watford and West Brom defender Tamas wasn't actually revealed, however it's been reported by the BBC they feel he's signed a one-year deal?

Whatever the length, following a trial with Cardiff, the Romania international has signed for the Bluebirds.

Following this arrival he said.

'I wanted to return to English football and out of a few offers, decided that Cardiff City was the Club I wanted to come to.

'I've met up with the Manager and a few of the boys who I remember playing against during my time in the UK. I'm looking forward to training with the boys and getting out there.'

At 31 the Romanian isn't a youngster, he doesn't lack quality either having won 65 caps for his country and from what I can remember wasn't a bad footballer with Watford and West Brom so he'll do well enough at the Cardiff City Stadium....hopefully anyway!

Tamas certainly has versatility as even though his main position is central defence he can also play at full back and in midfield.

We've also had an update on David Marshall today, speaking of West Brom, with is said this deal isn't happening and he's now 'not for sale.'

A spokesman told the media.

This is a bit like signing Gabbidon last season, a total waste of time and wages.

It seems to me we have a handful of posters who can't respect other peoples opinions.
