There is absolutely nothing wrong with the badge. People did throw their toys out of the pram with that stupid shield badge, the black and yellow.

"Propper cardiff City" fk me. Next they will be saying the Peters Pies arent real so boycotting - ffs people are so fickle at times.

There are two things wrong with the badge.

1. The red worm on it.
2. It's not our pre-rebrand one.

Personally i would be embarrassed to post some of the absolutely ridiculous reasons spouted now for not returning, just be honest FFS

I wish such so called City supporters would just stop spouting there bullshiit, and let the genuine supporters support there club. :bluebird:

Brayford being sold was my fave excuse for boycotting.

I just don't get the Tan excuse any more, who are you trying to kid. We are back in blue and the team are playing better football than they have in along time. Everything now seems to be going in the right direction.

Who do these supporters think they are hurting, its certainly not Tan as Cardiff City is just a hobby to him. If you really want Tan gone then turn up for games and support the club then making it more attractive for potential signings and future buyout investors.

This childish reason for not attending is actually having the opposite effect of what you say you are trying to achieve, but as already mentioned its is just an excuse like all the rest and is quite frankly pathetic.

Dont come, who cares just do everyone a favour and stop posting the excuses

In the grand scheme of things the badge is a small sacrifice to make. Our badge has changed multiple times in the last 30 years.

All the flack tan gets he brought on himself. If he didn't go in the media talking complete nonsense and if he didn't rebrand is then he would still be the guy who saved us and a hero to many. He burnt bridges. Save the sob stories for x factor cause its his own doing.

We had more fans attending games when we played in red. Just goes to show people were using the rebrand as an excuse not to go to games because really they don't want to go anyway. Watching us play in that massive stadium to a pitiful crowd is just embarrassing. We all heard people say they would rather be blue in league two, well I shudder to think what are crowds would be like down there.

All those that I remember saying that including myself are still here Chief. But now let's turn this around and say where are the red glory hunting Premiership fans to ?

The red glory hunting fans are plastics and never pretended not to be, we all knew they'd f**k off after we got relegated. I am on about those that boycotted "due to the rebrand" when in fact they are just like the glory hunters in the premier league, they never gave a toss anyway.

"I'd rather be blue in league two" was a cheap line considering the majority don't bother turning up when we are blue in the championship.

Many of those that boycotted Chief that I know never said I would rather be in league two. Some have returned others just can't find the love to come back. My feelings are not the same (IE pre re brand) but I am trying to get that back. It's slowly coming. But to be fair when we go away and I see our fans frantically looking for the seat that is on there ticket I think what the hell am I doing here.

You said there is nothing wrong with the badge.
I pointed out the fact that there is.
So I disagree with you.

I am now back going to games after missing nearly 3 years due to the rebrand. I detested it.

I dislike the new badge but I'm trying hard to regain the passion for the club I once felt.

Self important supporters like your good self remind me that it is going to take a long time.

I could now call you a name but it really wouldn't give me any pleasure.

Haven't been for a couple of season's now, the entertainment just isn't there, red or blue makes little difference to me it's just the whole matchday experience is poor. Go down the Ice Hockey now where the match night experience is far superior.

Bakedalasker wrote:The only thing needs changing are the shirts and they would have to be changed anyway come the new season.

I would say its in the thousand how many we have lost.

Our high attendances are down to our league position nothing to do with red. Well actually if we were blue our attendances would be higher. I mean no one is going to leave if we suddenly turn to blue overnight are they?

Here you admit that it's down to league positions, which is what I have been getting at all along. Oh and we have lost fans since we changed to blue, our two lowest ever league attendances in the CCS have happened this season... in blue. That's despite having lost "thousands" of fans due to the rebrand. You hit the nail on the head in this post, "attendances are down to our league position nothing to do with red". Same applies today.

I could get more quotes from you and others to reaffirm my believe that the general consensus (including mine) was that turning back to blue would increase crowds as the thousands of supposed boycotters would return. This has turned out to be bullshit.

I know for a fact quite a few have renewed....some have retracted their threat of not renewing as well. As I have said and have tried to explain to you the return to blue has prevented a total collapse. That is all it has done.

And if you read other posts you will find that those who turned away at the start now have founds other things to to. Under the circumstances this is no surprise as Tans stubbornest of 3 seasons has cost the club a lot of die hard support.

I think a lot thought returning to blue would return us to what it was.

It is still hollow in comparison to before tan.

The red stand still sits there. Huge debt. The stubborness of the man to put that stupid like worm on the badge.

He has treated fans like shit, and he is still he here. Out of desperation he returned us to blue.

The times he lied about the rebrand...it does still leave a sour taste. I try not to think about the fact he prospers when we win.

I stand by that comment. Went down for the Fulham game and it felt like my club again. Anyway, I don't see the need on dragging all that shit up again, we should put it all behind us and move on now.

You make an interesting point but I'm pretty damn sure those who banged on and on about the rebrand for the past 3 years like myself are the ones who are still in the stadium every week supporting the team.

The only clown I've seen on here is Blazing Saddles, he's shown his true colours this year. "Blue through and through" and now only turns up on this forum whenever we lose because he wants to let everyone know why he hasn't got a season ticket this year and to have a pop at Russell Slade. Hypocrisy at it's finest.

Dave, I agree and disagree with your post. I agree with what you say about fans saying I'd rather be blue in league two and they still don't come now we are in blue in the championship. I was one of those fans that used to say that but I never stopped going to games whilst the rebrand was here but was very vocal in trying to get our blue back, if the question was asked would I prefer red in the Premier League or Blue in League Two then I would choose the latter. I'm still a season ticket holder but I would not have renewed if we stayed red and would have just picked games to go to. I disagree with your post because you say the attendances have dropped because people made the excuse about the return to blue but still never came back, now that is true but I will say that if we stayed red then we would have far less attendance than we do now. So that's why I agree and disagree with your post.
