Good result for the boo boys. Shocking to read fans shouting for Bristol to score. Doubt Swansea steap so low!!!!!!

This was a ridiculous thread to start just five games into the season. You can easily be top after so few games and end up at the very bottom at the end of the season, and vice versa. Still don't know which direction we are heading in yet, and we have now played 13 games. 8 points from the top and 12 points from the bottom, we could be heading in either direction.

Thats leeds result gets that wagon back on the road again. Shame that the result like that makes people wispering on how it makes them happy if it gets him out.

Exactly; what shoe string budget! We've undoubtedly got some of the higher end Championship earners down here.

to be reviewed i would say. The target is top 6 and its good to hear Slade repeat that, he isnt trying to play it down like he was last season. But if we dont at least finish in the top 8 i think he should be replaced.

If he learns from his mistakes I'll give him a tiny bit of credit and that might grow in time. A big test will be Derby. Does he learn from Saturday or bottle it and make the same old mistakes. For his sake I hope the penny has now dropped. Oh and Slade give Kennedy a chance!

agree on Kennedy though i wouldnt put him in v Derby.

I will lose a lot of support for Slade if Whitts is in the middle though.

I agree with you 100% on this and as much as I think Kennedy could be an exciting player for us Derby would be the wrong game in which to start him, although I hope he's on the bench.

In fact as much as it goes against the grain to change a winning team I should like us to adopt a different strategy away against the stronger teams like Derby as compared to a more attacking line up at home.

It won't happen but my team against Derby would be:

Marshall

Peltier Connolly Morrisson Malone

Digcakoi

Gunnarsson Ralls Pilkington

Noone

Jones

I think that team could take the sting out of Derby's attack, impose itself and establish a strong midfield platform to set them on the back foot and sneak a goal or two!

i Dont disagree, Mason has certainly been given a run, not only is he now not scoring but isnt really affecting the game much. In that sense bringing in Dikagchoi to help try to tip the balance against a very talented midfield is a good option, in terms of affecting the game, this is going to do more for us i feel and limit the opposition.

feel we need to stop Derby from scoring twice here, It's very unlikely we will go there and get two so we do need to adopt the safety first approach which, in fairness, Slade has been good at this season.

Having said all that i dont think Slade has it in him to alter his formation from 442 - thats a shame there there is still plenty we can do with that to get a positive result.

Undoubtedly! I think with the right set up we can go to Derby and get a result and that would only boost the team's confidence. However, I fear we don't have the managerial nous to see it! :sleepy2:

Need to remember a match lasts 90 minutes, not 45, just like the season is based on results of 46 games, not just the first 7 or 8 .
