Very pleased to have got our first league win and our first clean sheet this season. Like you say, we definitely deserved it today. I can't remember Wolves having a single shot on target today and you have to give praise to our defence and midfield for that.
Fabio definitely man of the match for me, as I put on the MOTM thread. Whittingham, Jones, Ralls and Connolly were good as well. Best performance Connolly has put in this season. Sammy Ameobi played the best he has so far when he came on, his pace will be crucial this season. The only player I wasn't too sure about today was Pilkington, which surprised me as he's been good whenever I've seen this season.
I think Joe Mason's goal was ruled out for a foul on the 'keeper, otherwise agree with a lot of what you say![]()
Looking forward to heading to MK Dons on Tuesday night![]()

Who would you start Fabio instead of? Obviously Malone has the virus so couldn't play today, but he doesn't deserve to be dropped after his first 3 performances. I missed the game today as I'm currently away but I've spoken to a few people (non Cardiff fans) and they said Fabio was good. But most of them said Whittingham looked a class above the rest and Kenwynne.
I'm a massive Fabio fan, so I would start him before Malone, that's my view
It's a good debate and a good problem to have two performing players there.
Doubt Jones will start at forrest though looks like his ankle is bad, gutted.

Mr Shed wrote:Fabio started off very ropey today, but grew well into the game. A lot of his brave clearances were to no one. He played very well and fully deserved to be motm. Would I start him in front of malone? No, definitely not. Would I start him ahead of peltier? Not sure, as peltier is very solid and did nothing wrong.
very difficult choices, but better these dificulties than not having the option.

I wouldn't be against it either but like you both say I doubt it will happen.
Isn't it nice, and surprising, that any of us believe Malone deserves his place in the team, he has been excellent so far this season.

Quick question for you Annis, who do you credit with today's result?
The quality of the players we finally played and some credit has to go to Slade As he trains them and managed them through out the game

MoM had to be Ralls. But that midfield looks balanced with players and battlers, just need a bit of pace up front which Sammi looks like he has and we could be a decent unit.
As good as Fabs was today, Malone should keep the jersey, especially away.

All we need now is to have the same selection headaches with the rest of the positions.

If those attendance figures are going to rise from just 14,000 those £10 tickets need to be promoted heavily - mentioned in every TV interview, in adverts in the Echo, on advertising hoardings around the City and promotions in the centre of town - main railways stations, The Hayes, Queen Street, St Mary's Street etc. When the public know they can get in and watch a match for that little the place with soon be packed to the rafters.

I'm aware that you are but can you really drop one of our stand out players so far? Would you not drop Peltier and switch Fabio to the right?

Fabio is natural replacement for Malone who so far deserves his pal in the first eleven
Jones I can agree with as he is paid so well and technically the best striker we have on paper so no it was nothing to do with supposed star players you pick players ok merit not names slade is always losing a battle with fans like you
Can't do right for doing wrong
He picked IMO Almost the best team he has available barring injurys today yet we only won according to you cos we had star names out
TOTAL BULLSHIT
it was collectively a good team performance and we deserved 3 points to point he finger over almost forced changes is a complete load of billocks

You need to sort your keyboard or phone out fellawhat are billocks? Malone deserves his PAL in the team, isn't that what Annis said, his PAL is Fabio
If you read the whole thread before vetting your anger on here then you will actually see Annis praising Slade. He says "The quality of the players we finally played and some credit has to go to Slade As he trains them and managed them through out the game".
So to summarise, Annis is spot on and not talking bollocks.

Steve, Cheers, but I totally ignored this one as I will debate with anyone, but when they can only spout Sarcasm, there's no point as they don't deserve a reply and I would rather them go else where.
It's great without these type of posters on here,as others can enjoy proper debates

Where's the sarcasm in that post I said what you said was nonsense in your opening post and backed that up with why it was nonsense
That's debating is it not?
