The sad thing is Connelly will be the one to make way for Manga, when really it should be Morrison.

I agree with the sentiments posted here about Morrison and feel he's lucky to be playing as Manga seems fit again. With regard to yesterday's game, can anyone explain to me why Fabio was taken off and Malone brought on with about 10 mins left.

I think Manga will partner Connolly, unless Slade puts him right back as the two weakest players are Peltier and Morrison IMO....

Maybe Tamas will be given a game in the centre or right back ???

Because it was the right thing to do
Fabio had run his guts out ,also he took a knock in the wolves game ,and Malone is a more defensive left back :sladein: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Connolly made more mistakes than Morrison yesterday personally I believe some fans just love picking on certain players and ripping them apart highlight every error and forget the good moments and touches, nobody is perfect and goes through games faultlessly as in life we all make mistakes except of course those who critises others they never have made mistakes but then as saying goes they haven't done anything,City fans frustrate me with their idiotice comments if some try turning up sober they may see a different game and appreciate it more

Peltier's fault, Antonio is the winger, Antonio is Peltier's man  I'm guessing Morrison won't be in your 'core' England squad that consists of Simon Moore, Steven Caulker, Jordon Mutch and Fraizer Campbell

When are people going to get it into their heads that no player is responsible for marking just one man a game? If the opposing wingers switch sides, would you expect our full backs to switch sides also to stay with their men? Of course not!

When the keeper kicked the ball up field, Antonio pushed on into the second striker role and Morrison was marking him. The ball gets flicked on and Morrison gets caught ball watching and allows Antonio to drift past him through on goal. I suggest you watch their goal again.

I also suggest you learn to read properly as my post about Moore, Caulker, Mutch and Campbell POTENTIALLY (if you know what that means) being the spine of our team who could possibly all break into the England squad one day was nothing more than a post at the start of our Premiership season talking up the fact we had a young spine of exciting, English players that I believed at the time would continually improve and perform well for us. Why you find that so funny is beyond me, but this thread is about Sean Morrison. If you can't spot the fact for that Forest attack, Morrison's responsibility was to mark Antonio and he failed to do so, I'm not going to waste anymore time trying to debate football with you.

When are you going to understand that man marking is part of the game, whilst it's not used as much anymore, the usual contest is that the full back deals with the winger. How about not criticising literally everything Ole did for the club and always having a go at Morrison, you literally have to criticise even when there's good. Of course I know what potentially means, your opinion is viewed as a joke on here and on CCMB, just give up mate

Don't usually post on here any more, but sometimes I come across a comment/opinion so ridiculous I can't help but pitch in. Nothing personal.

Surely you can't possibly be suggesting that Peltier, or any full-back for that matter should follow the winger wherever he goes? Yes man-marking is a part of the game, but if the winger goes on stands on the opposite, flank, or on the goal line, or at the other end of the pitch, should the full-back follow him? Obviously not. At certain times if a player moves about or changes position then the responsibility is passed on to another player to keep an eye on him. In this case, that player was Morrison and he lost him, as he has done on several occasions this season.

As it happens, I totally agree that Morrison is a poor, poor defender to say the least and the fact that he chips in with the occasional goal should not be enough to keep in the team in my opinion when we have four players (when all fit) who are much better centre-backs than he is in Manga, Connolly, Turner and Peltier if need be. In fact I'm struggling to think of a worse centre-back we've had in the last 10 years than Morrison.

Hope he comes good and proves me wrong, but for me, Manga, who we all know is exceptional, and Connolly, who has impressed this season, is the way forward at the moment.

Good post. Totally agree 100%

I can't speak personally about yesterday as I didn't see the game but on the radio commentary Kevin Ratcliffe said several times that somebody should get hold of Morrison and have a word with him. He was out of position and let players pass him constantly.
On this occasion I think I'd rather listen to him.

Fabio may have taken a knock in the Wolves but it didn't seem to affect him yesterday. When he went off,he looked really disappointed as he expected it as Malone certainly seems to be Slade's favourite. I have no problem with Malone, who has been excellent this season and would played every game if he wasn't affected by the virus. It's good to see that he cut that ball of the top of his head, :D
