In both our league games it has taken us to go a goal down before we start attacking their goal properly. Why not from the start? And why are our best players left on the bench until the last half an hour?

Sorry worcester but got to disagree with this... We were well on top when QPR scored their first. Ian Holloway commented at half time that the goal was against the run of play as have a lot of the post match reports I've read.

As for the OP and the thread in general...

We are definitely making progress in my opinion and I agree with much of what the OP says.

However, some posters on here *cough* Angelis *cough* just thrive on being down on the club.

It's why despite this board being my first port of call for news and information about the City (I log on a couple of times a day - as it really is the most up to date source of info about the club so thanks Annis ) I very rarely post as with all the negativity I know I wouldn't be able to help but bite all the time if I commented regularly.

Well done Trooblue and Rydo for bringing some positivity and restoring a bit of balance to the board I say.

99% of managers have "won f**k all" if they take your logic, fella, and 700 games is (particularly by todays standards) a lot of games to have under his belt!

He's not totally clueless but a 'top manager' he certainly ain't.

I like a bit of optimism but if you take out the spectacular goals from Noone and Malone we may well have lost both our opening games.

I think we are so starved of entertaining football that we're grasping at even the smallest level of improvement. Even if we keep the ball for most of the game we are still not creating many opportunities to score goals.

I've seen every game bar the Bournemouth game and whilst there is a touch of improvement in attitude we still aren't setting the world alight.

To never of won even a promotion then he must of lost the vast majority of those 700+ games. His trophy cabinet at home must consist of .......ummmm .......not a lot

Steve, his record with us so far is (p)40 (w)15 (d)12 (l)13 And even you have to admit the football has been pretty dire at times. But I will admit the 2 league games I've seen this season I have in the main enjoyed. The negative in me though, sees those draws as points lost rather than points gained.
