cant believe people are talking about this already, We've had one game, in which there were encouraging signs.
The time to talk about getting shot will be when performances and results are going completely against us.

egg world cup is now on, they'll have something else to concentrate on as football gets pushed down the list, hope they've got the headlines ready for Wales hammering

I can't understand why we need to wait that long. Is it a League rule or something?

Do people belive we will finshed in top six though.as I don't think we are good enough.

I'd personally give him till Christmas and if we're in the bottom half start looking for somebody else

Ole got 7 matches, but for me it was more than just the results, the team looked completely inept.
the second half v Norwich especially. So, unless we literally lose the next 6 games i think we have to take a lot in to account. For me, we looked ok and were the better team on Saturday. An absolute howler set us back, and to be fair Fulham probably should have won it right at the end, but all in all it was a much improved performance.

Do people belive we finshed in top 6 this season.as I don't think we will our biggest test is home to wolves, that's when I will judge slade playing against attacking team.

YEA. except Slade meant top 6 of all time worst CCFC managers not our league position

I posted this on a previous thread but I'd say you have to give Slade until at least after the Brighton game away. That'll be 10 games into the season, so just over 20% of the season will have gone. If we're in the top 10 then he's moving us in the right direction, but if as I fear we're down in the lower reaches of the league he should go.
I've read he's on £100k a year, which in football terms in nothing but you get what you pay for 99 out of 100 times, and he's cheap for a reason. From the first 10 games I'd say there should be at least 5 very winable games, Fulham was one of them. The others I'd see that we'd have a good chance of winning, or at least should be if we think we're a top 6 club are Huddersfield & Charlton at home, and Rotherham and Brighton away.
The other 5 are clubs who'd you expect to be in or around the top 6 come the end of the season, so you'd hope we could get something from those games too, at least the home fixtures. If we've got 15 to 20 points after 10 games I'd say it's hard so sack Slade. If we don't then I can see the knives coming out for him.
In my opinion as I sit here today, I'd prefer Trollope in charge. If its a straight toss up between Slade and Trollope, you'd get at least attractive football from the latter; and Wales must see something in him. Afterall we're 9th in the world!!!! LOL

True but Tucker wrote it because he reads the messageboards and sees all the anti-Slade comments, particularly the comments from fans who generously give him five or six games to save his job. Therefore this topic was really driven by the fans. Tucker was simply giving vent to their views.

Going into October will be our 10th game of the season. Usually by then is a clear indication of how the team will do.
So if we are in a relegation position then yes Slade will be gone by October. Personally I think mid table or better and he will survive. Looking at the fixtures list up to then and there is no reason we should be comfortable mid table.
