Sian Branson doesn't represent the views of me as a Cardiff fan. The Canton Stand is our designated stand if you want to stand, it's cheaper and better!

She's just another fan like the rest of us. Leader be fucked. Cringe.
Sat Aug 08, 2015 2:10 pm
I was right by there although I didn't take much notice. The seats all around her were empty and the Stewart asked to sit down. She seemed to start screaming like a banshee, I looked up a few minutes later and she was gone.
To be fair she done well with BU and kept the fight going when all around there was lethargy.
But I don't think you can call the fans leader by any stretch. That's as laughable as 2 games in 4 years or whatever.

She is a leader of an organisation that has more Cardiff City fans than any other organisation. Also this has been recognised by her appearances in the directors boxes last season.
She is the nearest we have got.
Dai hunt was in the directors box last season wasn't he? Does that make him a leader?

Did Sian go out of her way to get fans tickets? Does Sian organise coaches for every away game?

Don't be so sill and arrogant to think she is anything more than a fan, she is not anybody's leader, certainly not mine! she should have been thrown out if as reported she was shouting abuse, if she was not in the the standing gang then she should not be standing!

2 games in the last four years, how many in 10 years ???
As the previous poster said, just getting her excuses in early....
BU got their wish, back to blue and references to our recent history back, the blue birds ect......
If it wasn't this, probably Ali being fired would have been a good reason, or Slade or Whitts playing, Tan not attending.
I seriously doubt she has a season ticket, but needed a "safe" out as she elected herself as the voice of the fans and that comes with responsibility that she obviously doesn't want now, as there is or will be little media buzz around he club for another few seasons.
Did I read this right? 2 games in the last 4 seasons?!?!??!?

I'm beginig to wonder if shes even a Cardiff city fan. And to think there are people trying to elevate her to some kind of fans leader lol

As I posted on Mikes board, Sian knew the rules, was she looking for confrontation? Sorry, not an example to set. Gives her a good excuse not to go to any more games. Did she buy a season ticket on our return to Blue ?

This very thread sums up how poisonous some aspects of our fan base are. So what if someone considers someone a fans leader? If that's what gets them through the night then so be it. Nobody can deny the hard work Sian and others put in to battle the re-brand. Even if you don't like her for whatever reason, you should respect a fellow Bluebird for such an effort. Stop having a go at each other for f**k's sake. It's embarrassing.

Everyone knows you can't stand up in the Ninian Stand. I want there to be a singing section over there just as much as anyone else but the club simply won't allow it. There's a perfectly good singing section behind the goal and it's called the Canton Stand, there's hundreds and hundreds of seats to choose from over there, come join us or sit down.
Sat Aug 08, 2015 3:04 pm
Sit down and behave yourself
Doesnt matter how many empty seats are around you - if you buy a ticket and attend the game then you adhere to the rules
End of

She is not a fan anyway, just an excuse to say she will not be coming back! bye bye!

I thought that too. Good on her for being vocal over the last few seasons but I do get the impression that she kinda likes the attention.

She's not my leader?
Sat Aug 08, 2015 3:16 pm
She ain't my leader, never will be
Sat Aug 08, 2015 3:16 pm
Leader my arse. I admire what she has done but she's not my leader. My leader is my wife. Thats what i tell her anyway.
Sat Aug 08, 2015 3:25 pm
In fairness we all know the score, the Canton stand has a tolerated standing zone, but in the rest of the stadium we sit down.
I'm with the stewards on this one
Sat Aug 08, 2015 3:35 pm
The more things change the more they stay the same. I think this is a case of her causing trouble for the club. Good riddance I say, I find it hard to believe they ejected her, they probably told her to calm down and she flipped.
Sat Aug 08, 2015 4:06 pm
I imagine that she's already written an article about the incident called 'Branson's Pickle - My Fight To Stand'.
Sat Aug 08, 2015 4:13 pm
Sian who? Leader????????????????? no great loss in my opinion only been a couple of times in the last
4years just a publicity seeker
Sat Aug 08, 2015 4:21 pm
The amount of indignant posters scrambling to shout "she's not my leader!".
The OP insinuated tongue in cheek ' our leader got chucked out'
She followed her heart and opposed the rebrand like lots of other fans , don't think she ever professed to be a leader and NOBODY can ever be a leader unless they are elected by the fan base surely ...
For every fan who got up on their high horse and felt annoyed , sort yourselves out
Sat Aug 08, 2015 4:28 pm
Modern football for you where was everyone to help her ?? Imagine that at Ninian !!!!
Sat Aug 08, 2015 4:43 pm
Had no idea who she was but she was 5 seats up from me andi spoke to her in the Kings after, and I will say this. She wasn't thrown out at all she left and I don't blame her. The op subject isn't correct. She had come to watch the city was in the back row nobody behind us, not drunk or abbusive and I really don't see the issue at all with trying to get people to sit down when it's not a safety issue or restricting a view. No doubt you will have smart arses say she should obey the rules but seriously??? Common sense, 800 away fans stood up and a few in the back row in 116 stood up and it's an issue.
The club teally need to get a grip or fans will continue to turn their back as they have done today, just 15k for an opening game. It ain't worth the hassle
Sat Aug 08, 2015 4:54 pm
So many older guys cant be assed to go there now cos of the wankers in yellow really is pathetic
Sat Aug 08, 2015 4:57 pm
What point was she making in standing up when told sit down? None as its not allowed rightly or wrongly , maybe she forgot as havnt been at games for a long time! Cant be an attention seeking martyr surely?

Mate I was there, she wasn't trying to make any point she was just like myself at the back looking forward to watching the city. We were all told, I just made a joke of it and ok from what I seen she did lose it a little bit and maybe needed to chill out but I moved from 116 years ago for the same reason. Look to your left 800 away fans stood up!! So if that's the rule then why arent they told to sit down ??

I seen the incident and she could have been arrested, the woman definitely has issues, let's just say I know people who know her very well. Shame really

Really? She was a little irraite like most women when you push the wrong button. Not grounds for an arrest

Let's just say she turned up at the stadium with a chip on her shoulder looking for trouble.
