Neither would you nor I Rydog I suspect if we were he.

Whitts loves it here and is settled and wouldn't want to leave. :thumbright: :sladein: :ayatollah:

Well yes Rydog that was my point earlier. Given the size of his wages down here and all the adulation he gets would you want to leave if you were him? I certainly wouldnt; and you can say what you like about Peter but I think he's canny!

Or that he loves the club and city and is a club legend and you are a fool to say otherwise and i don't think he is on big wages and i know he has had a bad run of form all good players do but i think he can get back to his best new season fresh start eh. :thumbright: :sladein: :ayatollah:

No I don't think I'm a fool thanks and yes you may be right, perhaps he has Cardiff City tattooed on his arse and maybe he'll play for us for nothing. However, I'm guessing the £10k a week and your love for him might come into the equation somewhere :sladeout:

Don't get me wrong Whitts is a talented player and can be frustrating at times but believe me if we got rid of him you would notice how much he makes a difference in attack he has the passing range a lot of championship clubs would love and with his dead ball deliveries and i am not really surprised with the bids that come him for him over the past few years and he turned them down because he loves the club and not there are not a lot of that going about in today's football Whitts is a good example of loyalty. :thumbright: :sladein: :ayatollah:

"If we got rid of him you would notice how much he makes a difference in attack" ??? Would you care to explain that more fully please Rydog

His long range of passing his vision the way he can pick a pass and play diagonal balls out wide from deep to the winger tha'ts trying to run behind the defence or straight down the middle to the striker and his free kicks and corner deliveries i take it you haven't been a supporter very long.

No only 30 years and I've not seen much of what you mentioned for years. Perhaps you dreamt it. However I was interested to know how we would notice all this if we got rid of him. Are you suggesting we all watch him at his new club each and every week?

So you have been supporter for 30 years and how you have not acknowledged Whitts quality i will never know :o have you been supporting the club while being under a rock have you :laughing6: and i bet you if he goes to another club he would do well for them. :thumbright: :sladein: :ayatollah:

Whitts has done nothing for nearly 3 years....good servant..scored loads of great goals over the years but not worth his place in the team anymore

I think it's quite sad that people still think he can do a job . His days are well and truly gone. He's playing for Cardiff as he's settled and probably ink a decent wage to end his career . I'd loved to be proved wrong but you can guarantee this year he will be his below average self strolling around getting bossed . With the odd corner piece assist and maybe a free kick and a couple goals . Nothing special .

You two certainly know a lot about football, if there is no one running the channels or making runs that whitts can pass to, then he can only play sideways or back. Do you get that?

I know Hull and Wolves have enquired, but I think exactly like the bullshit of Joe Mason/Wolves it's all happening again, we are just trying to sell our players in my opinion and it's coming from agents/ media etc

I just don't get the love in for Gunarrson and Whittingham anymore. Past their sell by date and probably worst central midfield partnership in the league.

Whitts should be an american footballer now, comes off the bench to take corners, free kicks and penalties and then sits back down.

Gunarrsson - well I'm sorry but there are far better players than him in worse sides than us - it shows every year!

But each to their own, maybe they'll prove me wrong this year - but they won't!

Yes I certainly do know a lot about football unlike some on here and everywhere else ..
There are options . He just doesn't use them and he could pass sideways and make a forward run but noooo he doesn't
He can't take on a man hence why he just passes . That's what we lack with gunnarson and whittingham nothing in the centre just stand still passing sideways not trying to get in the attack that's why joe ralls worked with gunnarson when he was out he got on end of things he can take on players ! That's why I'd like ralls in there he's a good player .. But I'm sure you wouldn't agree with that

I'll be honest I've heard this old chestnut many times before and watched out closely to see if its true. However, I've seen strikers, wingers and other midfielders running into good space very many times and he hasn't noticed. Sorry I'm not going to buy that one :ayatollah:
