Since posting this I have regularly checked the comments regarding the topic

Was expecting mixed comments.

Nowhere have I said that ST holders are "Super Fans" etc. All I have suggested is that they, having signed up for the season of games, get a weekend where they can purchase the kit before it goes on general sale.

That will ensure that when they go the games they will be able to wear the club colours if they wish.

Having made a financial commitment to the club I see nothing wrong with this, last week people were revelling in the fact that as FAW members (for £50) they were able to have preferential treatment for future games - somewhat double standards methinks!!

As mentioned I will not be buying the kit, but believe STH who want to have the first opportunity to do so. :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

maybe the club should order enough to supply demand....seems that the marketing department of the club have got it wrong and nothing to do with only supplying a limiled number.....dont you think..?... :ayatollah:

The club would only divide fans again, wouldn't be a good PR exercise.
Season ticket holders get a good deal with cheaper prices anyway.
The club should put the shirts out for sale asap as some fans nay even now buy a Wales shirt instead of a Cardiff one.

Simple solution lets hope the club have ordered enough shirts  back in reality I think its fair season ticket holders should get first dibs

Let's put this to you...

Family of 8 come into the City Store looking at buying 6 shirts for the kids at £35 each with printing on the back that takes it up to £47 each. Should the club turn their custom away, as it's season ticket holders only on that day? £282 worth of sales turned away?

A few months ago there were people complaining that the fan base was divided... now this suggestion will only further prove that the fans are still divided in their support for the club, with some thinking they deserve more.

Honesty I would say "did you know that the kids only cost £50 for the whole season to watch City" - my god you would think I was asking for something strange - lots of organisations offer this type of "pre buy" to their customers as sign of loyalty - what is wrong with that?

Turn it the other way a family of ST holders turn up only to be told all the shirts have gone - sorry about that!!
If they have committed to go to EVERY game then they should have the opportunity to wear a club shirt to EVERY game.

People go on about splitting the fan base, ridiculous statement. It is about rewarding those who have decided to show their support with a financial outlay.

If people chose to show their loyalty they should be rewarded by the club - simples

How about the club juat order enough for demand :thumbright:

I think it would be silly of the club to turn away customers just incase a season ticket holder MIGHT want to buy a top.

I dont know but id bet at some point you will be able to pre order them so im aure those who really want one will.

Put it this way. I cannot make it to the club shop until Saturday, if I get there and they do not have a home top for sale as they've sold out, as a ST holder I won't be happy. If that makes me stuck up then yes I'm stuck up!! As the OP says I have made a commitment for a full season and I do feel as I have done that then I should entitled to first dibs on a kit!!

Having said all that I hope the club has realised demand will be high and they'll have enough stock to keep us all happy.

When you renew your season ticket, you know what benefits you will receive, ie, priority purchases on tickets for certain games. I'm sure there's no mention of priority on shirt sales in your terms and conditions.

Bet you wouldn't have wanted to jump the queue if the kit was red.

..........................and neither would have those that have not renewed :digging2:

"I'm sure there's no mention of priority on shirt sales in your terms and conditions" - perhaps it should  .

Anyway, history now, as the club have stated that they have sufficient shirts ordered, at least STH will get their 10% off :bluescarf:
