Peter Whittngham

I like Whitts, he is a class player and has stayed loyal to Cardiff City and I believe he cares for the club, however he did have a bad season last year but many didn't play their best.

Whitts also does well until about xmas once he is dropped for a few games he comes back good, he is a confidence player but he can in the past change a game round for us I would keep him.

I can not accept 442 451 formation talk a good player should be able to play all formations

Completely disagree, Whitts, no matter how high he is rated, has neither the pace or the tenacity to play in the middle of a 442 system

...if you play a 442 you play whitts on the wing

Whittingham for me, goes missing on big occasions,laid back,past his best,but o his day can be quality,but not enough of those days.

Annis you need to look at the bigger picture, he does go missing and so do all of our players but Whitts for me is singled out all the time and he just doesn't deserve it, there are loads of reasons why in some games he went missing but I'm not going into that and I'm sure you know what I mean. Anyway, everyone has their own opinions on every player and I certainly have mine but I will not slag off any of our players especially the ones that could have left for better teams on more than one occasion. I really hope that all the Whitts haters are made to eat their words this season.

A million per cent correct Steve but unfortunately the Whittingham groupies will refuse to see your point. I single him out with praise because that is MY opinion, build a bridge and.... umm get over it
in a 4-4-2 set up, they don't necessarily have to be wingers in the true sense of the word, in a 4-4-2 set up he could play left/right midfield, (which may I add is a different position to being a winger), in which case you don't need that much pace, so in hindsight, yes I'll agree with you that he may not be a winger but I would say he could fit into a left/right midfield role.
