Re: ' TAN WANTS MONEY IN NOW SLADE '

I think most of us agree that our current group of players are not going to get this club into the PL, and that at least three, four, possibly five quality signings are needed. They will cost more than we will get in sales, otherwise there will be no point in bringing in players who are on a par with what we have already. Even then, there is no guarantee of promotion, or even getting into the play offs. We could end up in exactly the same position as we finished this season with bigger debts. Is Tan prepared to keep gambling like the person we've all seen who keeps pumping his money into the slot machine hoping to get back some of what he's already lost. I honestly don't know, but Tan doesn't come across as the sort of person who will keep gambling in the hope that everything will work out in the end.

Sounds good to me, cut the debt down.

We should be happy if Slade just about manages to keep us in the Championship each season :bluebird:

Re: ' TAN WANTS MONEY IN NOW SLADE '

it's obvious slade is going to have to sell and the 15million isn't that much if you include money that would be saved on wages to

KTC 2mill 20,000 a week approx
kenwyne free 39,500 a week approx
le fonder 1m-1.5m 20,000 a week approx.
manga 5-6m 25-30,000 a week approx.
noone 2m 20-25,000 a week

selling these players equals about 10million and plus what you would be saving on wages I think that is a more realistic

I honestly believe we have no short or long term plan...Tan and his cronies just wing it from day to day...Considering Tan is such a successful business man...he has made a complete fcuk up of running my club...massive debts..rebrand..endless stupid quotes during every interview...Spend huge amounts then sell players at a loss...cancel contracts..hire manager..sack manager I believe he has no idea what to do next..

It's because of him I have virtually lost interest in the club I have supported for 30 years

Lets be honest no one other than slade and tan know what's going on everything else is just pie in the sky ,I remember annis and Carl saying the same last year and we sold a few but also invested in manga and co ,I think it could be an intresting transfer window ,we don't have to spend big to get decent players

Wez, Correct I said it last season and the facts are there,we sold much more than we bought and I will state the same will happen this season. The budget has to be cut again.

is it a bad thing tho ? As long as we have got a good competative first team squad of around 15-18 players ,the squad is too big and people on 20 k plus and the dead wood should be sold or let go ?

Do you know that the teams who don't expect promotion at the start of the season actually go on to do it like Bournemouth, Blackpool, Burnley and so on so why can't it be the same its possible you just got to believe. :thumbright: :sladein:

The coming 6 months will see reveal how Vincent plans to run the club.
Lower league gambles I'm sure we are all fine with if they are also linked to expereinced aquasitions.
A continual stream of untried and untested players at this level will surely fail.
Ie Blackpool.
Will he turn up at games,I'm predicting he will not.
I feel he is sorely aggrieved over the colour change and he needs to keep the fans hopes up, to limit his losses and keep crowds at a reasonable level.
He probably wants out and if we are to keep Slade whose only objective is to reduce the budget,Vinnie will be in for a shock as to how low the crowds can go.
Come what may we will have a definitive answer to vinnies intentions by the autumn.
No soft soaping from dalman or choo will hide the truth.

excellent post Mr Keenor....I have a bad feeling about how low the crowds might go next season..under 10,000 for some games is a distinct possibility

From FB

Nathan Lee Oyler-burgess
Makes no sense f.e sell le dondre get Jones off the books but the only way he will re coup money would be to invest more in getting us in the prem and sell up not make us a mid table championship side no money in that he brings in a few attractive players ticket sales and shirt sales rise we start to get a 30k average attendance and some impressive displays on sky we get better TV right back end of the season he needs to realise the potential of having a capital city football team doing well ffs

Re: ' TAN WANTS MONEY IN NOW SLADE '

I think that the club is unfortunately in a downward spiral. Appoint a tin pot manager as a cheap option and then sell off/ dispose of all of your quality players. As a result fans have had to suffer the worst football seen for a decade.

There is no surprise that thousands of fans have disappeared. It's no good saying that they are not proper fans. Why pay good money to see the rubbish that is being served up week in week out? I can understand why so many have not renewed.

The club say that they want promotion, based on what's happened over the past 6 months that does not seem the case. It will be interesting to see who the club bring in over the next few months, that will show the ambition or lack of. The only way to get fans back is to play attacking exciting football and getting results on the pitch. To do that you need a team that plays as a team but you also need some quality. Unfortunately we do not play as a team, we do not play attacking football and we have very little quality. We also have Russell Slade in charge.

It's a vicious circle in that the club don't seem to want to strengthen the squad with quality so how will those missing fans return? It looks like Championship survival is the target.

I think we would all agree that more players need to be moved on. Problem is that to bring in the level of funds desired this will inevitably involve some players we would rather stay. The other issue, referred to in an earlier post, that to get best prices we may let things go to the wire, meaning the squad wont have as much cohesion, and a slower start to new season.

I think he will be, he's got ten to twelve games to see what he can do, I've no faith in him at all.

Ole Gunner was a disaster for us, he left us in one hell of a mess that we are still trying to deal with.

I really find it hard to believe what a total balls up, they made of the last two seasons, they wasted such a great opportunity

As well as Slade going about his business in the transfer market, Slade has been told, I want players out now, ASAP and Tan is expecting at least £15 mill from sales.

My opinion is that Slade will not be allowed to spend no more than £5mill for next season
how do you know that ?

Wez as you know I Spk to people every day,Slade told reporters, he is more under pressure to safe Tan money, I believe Tan wants that more than to deliver us good football.
Slades main job is to clear the decks.

No offence but that doesn't add up. If Tan wants his money back the best way (in fact the only way) is to get us back to the Premier League which means building a very good team. Asset stripping to recover some of his money will lead to relegation and a massive drop in the value of the club and huge losses if he was to sell. I can understand that Tan needs to get the wage bill under control after Ole wildly overspent on players he didn't play and others who were not worth the transfer fees or wages but once the high earners have gone I'm sure Tan will do whatever it takes to make us successful. Not because he likes us but because he wants his money back. And for the record I'm not a Tan supporter. :ayatollah:

This, No one apart from the 5 people incharge of the club knows what will be happening

Forever blue will be telling everyone consortiums are taking over again soon lol.. cant take anything he says genuine to be honest especially when its about tan because all he seems to want to do is have a dig at the owner.

Common sense would tell you though that an owner would want as much money in transfers as possible for some players, nothing wrong with that and we do need to get rid of a lot of players i just hope its the right ones and not the wrong ones.

Forever blue also said manga and marshall will be sold this summer but nothing materialised there yet either so time will tell fellas.

Depends on who we're planing on keeping/selling, but as I said before only Tan/Slade/Dalman/Choo (Didn't say these but also his scouts) knows who they are. And these people havn't disclosed anything with Annis as he has already admitted to me that members of the media have told him all of his 'information'. Not saying we're going buy big money player but also we're not going to sell our core players... Players like Noone, Macheda, Jones, Moore, Fabio, Kiss, Velikonja, Diki (If pre-season doesn't go to well for him) can all bring in big money either through transfers or wages.

"Not saying we're going to buy big money players but also we're not going to sell core player..."

That's called sitting on the fence - if you think different to what i posted Wednesday - explain yourself.
More money will come in transfers and wages saved - than go out in players bought in ( IMO ) .
