Only 4 years ago Fabio was in the champions league final and yet some on here say he's crap, everyone to their own I suppose.

Steve, Fabio first every time for me :thumbright: And Declan John before Malone :thumbright:

Annis, I really don't understand some of the negativity towards both Fabio and young Declan. We have been dished out with a few shite leftbacks over the years, the last one being Taylor  but I think we are quite strong in that area now but Malone would be my 3rd choice with Fabio 1st and Declan 2nd

Steve, it stuns me,but everyone is entitled to their opinions, but I agree with you, both players make us strong in that department :thumbright: :thumbright:

Malone has so far this season proved me wrong and long may it continue

Totally agree, I couldn't understand why we signed him last season. Glad to be proved wrong and I hope he maintains this standard for the rest of the season.

I really like Malone and would pick him above Fabio any day.

However I would love to see both Malone and Fabio play as attacking wing backs in a 5-3-2 formation, although I doubt I will see that at the City well unless it was the away team!

i think we have the team for that formation certainly, and fabio makes a better wing back than a full back for sure.

but like you said, we will never see it

I too would like that formation with Fabio and Malone as wingbacks but while Slade is here that will never happen as it doesn't fit into his dinosaur way of thinking

I'd like to see that with Turner, Manga and Connolly at centre back
