I don't really care about them. If they want to live in their pit then carry on.

I would hate the feeling of finishing a week now without working or doing anything productive. The shitness of work makes everything else a lot better.

That about sums it up! It can be tough getting up some days and work can be stressful and a pain in the bum but at least you keep your self respect! It can be satisfying to finish a day feeling you have done a good job.

I was on job seekers for one month after redundancy but when I got an interview I made a real effort to get the job which I did.I went to other branches and questioned staff and looked into the company history. I also made sure I turned up well presented and on time and tried to showcase my strengths as opposed to my weaknesses. I could have sat on my arse and just lived of the system but that feels like existing rather than living to me!

If we stopped the benefit all together you would the work ethic in this country change overnight
