It would be silly to get rid of him for nothing. I say give him a go.

What ive seen of him I don't think he is good enough for a championship team.

He should have been loaned out all of last season to see what he can do getting regular game time.

Luke,Declan has played over 20 times at Premier League and he's still only 19 and did well in my opinion

Annis I thought he was awful in the prem, if he had done ok id agree but I thought he was very poor but every time I've seen him I've been less than impressed. He is still young so has that going for him but I don't see him as a Championship player yet, he needs a full season of games and for me that needs to be elsewhere.

Luke, thats where we differ, as under Malky I thought he played well and was never outclassed.

Personally I would like to see him get a chance, if he can knuckle down and train hard and show his full potential, I think he can easily make the grade in the Championship

If people read some of my posts I point Declan out years ago as a future star All be it not as a defender I thought the boy had lots of talent
However he is never a defender in a million years it is just not him . A few months back I was speaking to my cousin who is a very close friend of one of the members of the Welsh squad . He asked about Declan as he has been a season ticket holder of many years to see how he was getting on when he was with the squad . Unfortunately the response was not great He stated the kid thinks he is better than he is and his attitude was not the best ,also he stated the squad take the piss out of his defeniding abilities and he is no up to the job

Off the top of my head I can't remember when he was last picked for the full squad I hope we give him a chance at his natural position or I fear the kid will not be a star with us

I had never heard a bad thing about his attitude when he was with the city first team I have witnessed it when he was younger as my son was with him in the academy and Declan was the player I picked as the greatest potential. Annis you know my cousin well ( author as well ) so you will know this comes from a good source
