Are you sure it was just 5miles as I heard a rumor it was 15 and Tan would only be appeased if he didn't have to pay that Lebanese swindler any more money.

And is the latest reason fans will not come back now because they are waiting for Tan to leave before they return - well that never happened when we went back to blue so don't think it would happen if Tam left - think it's all about a general dissolutionment with modern football

Steve, I try to forget and I just cant and really I should not as what Tan did to our club is to me one of the worst things any of our owners have ever done to us in my years of following our club.
He nearly destroyed us.
Plus to this day many still have not forgot or returned and its still brought up on the streets.

Yeh but the past cannot be changed and for the good of the club we must move on of it will continue to be a downward spiral which will benefit no-one
Not saying we should forget it just stop dragging it up and keeping it fresh

The wounds to CCFC are massive and is still being felt now even though we are back to Blue. Die hard City fans left and many still won't come back. It will take time to heal the hurt from being betrayed by the owners and some supporters alike. And vice versa those fans feel they are being blamed. It is a shit situation I agree. Whilst Vincent Tan remains the hurt and anger remain and for many they have to fall back in love with the City again. For some it's permanent to others they feel the change wasn't that bad.
Perhaps it will take the good old days to heal wounds, trips to Exeter and Plymouth and the likes again to get everyone to feel like family again. Well under Slade that is where we are heading :laughing6:

Its like a man wanting to batter you in the street but instead he only punches you. Rather than being angry at the fact that this man punched you, half of our fans are thankful they never got battered. You honestly couldn't make it up.

I wont set foot in the stadium until he's gone. He is the virus within, as far as i'm concerned. We will not see a happy, stable club or fan base whilst he is at the helm. Of that there is no doubt.

More faces than a clock Barnett

You loved tan not that long ago

I don't think anyone wanted to "thank" him, but equally he did what he did, reversed it and the world has since moved on...with a few notable exceptions, including you, James

Not 'knocking' you for that, as it is YOUR personal choice. However, having abandoned your so-called club you now want to perpetuate that which has gone whilst contributing nothing positive to making things any better for the future!

I've said all along that the club is much bigger than any of us and that the important thing is that there is a club to support!

Forever Blue's OP was simply informing the masses that Tan had ATTEMPTED to rename us (Sam ATTEMPTED it too and also failed!) and that certain 'figures' inside the club helped put a stop to it!

Unless I'm reading things wrong, the positive is there IS someone inside that Tan might occasionally listen to and the negative is that he ATTEMPTED it at all!

Two or three years down the line we are back where we started...in BLUE and with a BLUEBIRD on our badge and (as others have said) it is a pretty big turnaround for someone who claims 'pride' drives his world!

Just try to be contrite just for once and look to the frigging future rather than harping on about the past YOU had little to do with and avoiding a future you COULD help shape! :(

One thing trying and one thing doing it. a name change would have been the end for me. We should be looking forward not backwards. Could be worse look at hull, that guy ain't giving up.

At the end of the day we are blue with a bluebird badge and called cardiff City and withing a owner who is willing to pay to keep us afloat. It would be a lot worse.
