The only real racists are people like yourself who bring colour/race into an immigration debate to try and stifle any discussion. Immigration policy is political policy, it should be discussed by any government and wanting an Australian style points system is not racist in the slightest. In reply to the OP, someone pointed out an interesting way of looking at this. The SNP could only get votes in Scotland, and could only compete in that area (With a smaller population than London). UKIP were eligible in the entire UK. So despite voters in England, Wales and Northern Ireland not being able to vote SNP, but perfectly entitled to vote UKIP, UKIP ended up only 7.5% ahead of the SNP. I'm not saying it's right, just another viewpoint.

At the end of the day, no matter how we look at it,the Conservatives had the most votes, won the most seats, and form the government. The system actually worked. We don't have to like it, but there it is.

That's the point I was trying to make. If you look at the amount of people that could vote SNP as a percentage out of the voters eligible to vote for them and compare that against the same figure from UKIP the SNP would be miles ahead.

If we didn't live here in the UK we maybe couldn't have this conversation we can curse and swear ,call each other names be critical of the government u name it, its called democracy it ain't perfect no but compared to some countries and ideologies its a model system .
