Couldn't agree more. Some people have very short, if not selective memories. He well and truly shafted us.
Ridsdale was screwing him round on his contract

Ridiculous statement. The club had lots of opportunities to sell him when contracted
It's your statement that is ridiculous. The fact that we could have sold him is irrelevant.
Nobody knows exactly what whent on, cardiff were skint at the time and probably offering him a shit contract

Let's get things straight. Ledley deliberately ran his contract down, probably on the advice of his agent, who shared in the spoils because Celtic avoided paying us anything. Hence a bigger signing on fee for Joe. A shame in the sense that Joe Dwyer's appearance record would have been under threat had Ledley stayed with us. But for my money no comparison between the two of them. One a legend, the other a leg end.

he repaid his debt to the club by representing his home-town club for 6 seasons. What he does with his career is entirely up to him. The same as clubs show no loyalty to players that want to stay. 2-way-street. Cast your mind back to Hudson and countless others.

This.

Lesley is literally in a different league. It is very unlikely that he will exchange a successful term at Palarse under a quality manager for the uncertainty of mud-table Championship football under Slade. Just doesn't make sense.
As to Ledley's disloyalty to his home club, at least he played for his club and for a considerable time. People moaning about him running his contract down need to realise that selling Fred represent buy-outs from running contracts. If the contract runs down, effectively the club has had full value of the player.
How many seasons did Bellers, Ramsey and Bale play for Cardiff??
If he came back to Cardiff, I would be on huge wages and for a big fee. Can the club afford that?? Will Tan sanction spending "his" parachute money like that. I doubt it.
Watch this space.

I don't believe this one bit, Ledley would not play for City until they return to EPL. Hennessy as mentioned above is more of a possibility with Marshall expected to be moved on for a fee. Moore always looks useful like last weekend but we need someone more experienced for cover than Lewis. Hennessy must be looking for a move to cement his position as Wales No.1 with regular first team football, that's my first punt as we enter silly season. BLUEBIRDS

Don't think Joe would see it as a step back, more of a step HOME for him
Fri May 08, 2015 2:49 pm
I'm friends with his cousin will ask him next time I see him
Fri May 08, 2015 2:51 pm
This isn't a massive rumour, just another one doing the rounds. I think it's very unlikely but would obviously welcome him back.

I'd love it, not going to happen though.

When Joe was leaving Celtic and we were rumoured to be interested, there were loads of people on this board saying he wasn't good enough for us anymore. Move forward 18 months and now he's a "dream signing."
Joe hasn't got any better, it just shows how quickly our club has sunk.
Personally, if it was possible to bring him in, I would make him captain and build a new team around him

West Ham join Swansea City in Rudy Gestede race, Mitrovic latest and could Joe Ledley really return to Cardiff City?
9 May 2015
By Gareth Rogers
As Swansea City start their search for a striker, one of their top targets is being chased by Premier League rivals West Ham United
Swansea City target Rudy Gestede is set to be the subject of a £7m bid from West Ham, which could force Garry Monk into transfer action earlier than he would like.
According to the Daily Mail, Hammers boss Sam Allardyce made an enquiry to Blackburn about the former Cardiff City striker yesterday.
Gestede had looked the perfect fit for the Swans after manager Monk admitted yesterday that he is unlikely to break the club's £12m transfer record this summer.
But MailOnline claim the Benin striker would prefer a move to London than one back to South Wales.
Those comments from the Swans boss made it appear less likely that Anderlecht striker Aleksandar Mitrovic will be coming to the Liberty, as he would cost around £15m.
Some sources had reported that relegation threatened Newcastle had tied up a deal for the Serb but that has again been rubbished by the Brussells based club.
This time, Belgian newspaper Nieuwsblad say Anderlecht manager Herman Van Holsbeeck reiterated that no deal had been struck with the Magpies because the player was concerned by their struggles on and off the pitch.
He is understood to prefer a team who will be playing European football next season, or at least have that as an ambition.
That could act as a carrot for the Swans to reel in seventh placed Southampton in the final three games to potentially seal a Europa League spot but Monk also revealed that he is not too worried about the prospect of missing out on another gruelling continental campaign.
Rudy Gestede (Blackburn): Could be worth a gamble at the right price
Finally, the Cardiff City messageboards have been excitedly debating the prospect of former star Joe Ledley coming back to South Wales .
The Wales midfielder has been a regular at Crystal Palace under Alan Pardew this season and played in the defeat at Chelsea last Sunday.
But all his family is still based in the Welsh capital and he is understood to have bought property in the city this year, but Vincent Tan would have to really back Russell Slade in the transfer market to make this one happen as it would cost at least £3m, but who knows?

welcome all day long...
then looking forward to the day rambo comes home

Leadly would probably cost a lot in wages and fee if we went after him- i'd go after Spurs midfielder Alex Pritchard currently on loan at Brentford who had two good loan seasons... or is he out of our league now?

Don't think it was quite like that from the lads viewpoint, he is a bluebird through and through, his agent dictated that and besides Champions league footy beckoned never mind the wage increase and signing on fee, but no all you Ledley bashers would have turned all that down if it was you right?
Get him back to his club pronto if its financially possible, however surely its unlikely, he is prob on 25k plus and would never agree to a large drop in wages to return here, same for other Welsh players I would love here, Collins, Hennessy, Myhill, Chester, Kanu, Matthews, King, Gunter etc. This time we have to have a wage cap I think, around 17k per week. Though Welsh players like Craig Davies, Emyr Huws, Tom Lawrence, Liam O Neill, Neal Eardley, Dave Cotterill could be affordable and defy do a job for us methinks. Would love George Williams but would command a huge fee.
I need Cardiff/Welsh players at my club to help me reconnect and reidentify with my team. I am so much more for my national team at the moment.
