Won't say, but 100% not UKIP, as it would be nothing other than a 'protest' vote at the moment and there's another Party I want to help keep out of Office come Friday!

Having said that, I 100% want a European Referendum and I will 100% be voting "UK OUT!" so we can start making decisions that suit the UK and not the 'big boys' of Europe

Re: " TOMORROW? " WHO WILL YOU BE VOTING & WHY?

Greens for me.

UKIP offers nothing for Wales. Read their manifesto, they are essentially an English party and will in no way offer us financial parity with Scotland. Also Wales has benefited hugely from the EU.. UKIP will see and end to that. They are a party based on lies, rhetoric and fear.

Lost confidence with Labour and the Conservatives and as a traditional Liberal supporter I can't stand the way they sold their soul. Paddy Ashdown and David Steel must be ashamed of what Clegg has done.

Plaid. Its the only party with Wales top of its agenda.

UKIP's immigration policy is shocking, for instance, more British people live and work in Spain than Polish people live and work in UK?
But that's okay?

Re: " TOMORROW? " WHO WILL YOU BE VOTING & WHY?

Thu May 07, 2015 6:46 am

I've already voted and for UKIP despite the fact that in Caerphilly Labour could put up a hedgehog and win.

As far as I'm concerned UKIP are prepared to address the issues like, our membership of the EU, immigration, properly funding our armed forces, the deficit and protecting the crown jewel of this nations achievements, the NHS, by removing the private companies that make millions out of the NHS.

Of ALL the reasons given in this thread to vote for any party surely the exchange rate is the funniest  Ask yourself why and the answer will not be because of the fantastic job Cameron has done over the last 5 years. Most EU countries tied to the euro have economies that are running massive deficits with Germany left to prop the lot off. That has left the currency speculators running to their traditional home of the US dollar where the exchange rates against the pound and euro are at or close the highs. The EU economies are mostly in the toilet and without Germany would have sunk without trace a long time ago.

With the exception of UKIP the other parties tell us it would be a disaster if we left the EU. Why? Norway are doing rather well and they have never gone anywhere near EU membership or the euro. In my opinion it's time to reclaim our right to self determination, exit the EU and get control of our nations borders and economic policies.

As regards Cameron he couldn't even get a majority against a Labour goverment that had spent money like a drunken sailor on shore leave with that idiot Brown in charge. It looks just as likely he won't get a majority against the idiot Miliband who let's face it will do what ALL Labour governments do and spend money we just haven't got.

Time to vote for a party who will reclaim our right to self determination by leaving the EU, get spending under control whilst maintaining spending in important areas like defense and our health service.

Ah well let's keep cutting eh?

Do you actually think that all the Navy, Army and Air Force cutbacks have happened in the last 5 years ? the last Labour Government were the ones who wrecked our defences.

For me, Defence spending is a priority - it is way too low and why?

Because the Eurocrates dictate Britains level of spending on European defence - who do you think thought up the 2% of GDP level?

Yet another reason to try and get in as many UKIP seats as possible, to hopefully force the Conservative Government into action on lots of Common sense policies.

God help us if Labour and the sottish and/or Welsh nationalists get together - we will be F-cked.

The system is broken and I don't particularly like Labour. But I will be voting for them for fact that I believe in what Ed Miliband stands for. He is more human than Cameron will ever be.

The Tories talk of being the party of rewarding those that work hard but they only talk in monetary terms. What they stand for is a bully society.

The Lib Dems had my vote up until they decided to forgo all their principles to leach onto power.

For the Tories the only positive from today can be that they lose. For the sake of their future.

Then Boris. Or Theresa.

Agreed, "First past the post" system is scewed towards the bigger parties but it is in place for a reason.

To get strong Governments who can pass laws and amendments - otherwise we may end up with a weak useless "rainbow alliance" Government who all depend on another 1, 2 ,3 or 4 parties/policies to get things done - in other words Just a talking shop with most deals made in smoke filled rooms (sorry clean air filled rooms!!) - IE - bad Government.

No doubt we have the premier democratic system in UK. :o

Strange how so many on here will vote UKIP when nationally they only poll about 14%. To be honest it is an absolute wasted vote. They will be lucky to get a seat.

Also strange that so many on here will vote for parties that don't give a f**k about Wales. Vote Plaid for Wales !!

It looks like all four nations of the UK are going to return different parties. So much for the UNITED Kingdom. Of course England by sheer weight of numbers normally rule the roost. But if it's close in England between Labour and the Tories the SNP will liven things up. Interesting times ahead perhaps.

Lots of turkeys voting for Christmas in this thread.

UKIP will fight for the abolition of the Barnett Formula, this will cost Wales billions in public spending. They will fight for the UK to leave the EU, this will cost Wales billions in grants.

At least that practically invisible problem of immigration will be solved. Someone asked me yesterday 'What about those Romanians who are all here??'. I asked them if they had ever met a Romanian. You can probably guess their answer.

Plaid can't really win over the debate about whether they're more for Welsh speakers. They've actually moved away from that of late with their leader being an English speaking South Walian and have suffered in their old heartlands like Camarthen and Ynys Mon as a result, whilst possibly picking up mor votes in places like Caerphilly, Neath and Llanelli. Leanne Wood doesn't inspire me with a great deal of confidence tbh, but none of the leaders do anyway and I disagree with their apathetic view on immigration. However, the fundamental principal of greater autonomy for Wales swings it for me. I'll be voting for them.

Plaid for Wales

The alternative is what? Labour?
Who have run Wales for decades, look at our NHS and education system. NHS in Wales had its budget cut by Labour run Assembly - NHS in England had budget increased by Tory government.
We rely on public service, non-productive jobs for our employment and hand outs from other countries to pay for our ever decreasing standards of service and living in Wales. Labour have controlled Wales for years, over seeing all this decline and child poverty (whatever that is) has increased, as our education and health has declined.
Socialist ideology has failed in every country it has ever controlled (throughout the world and history) and always will. The only people who benefit from socialism are the ones at the top controlling it, just look at our country where the divide betweeb rich and poor increased under the last Labour government. Blair, Kinnock, Miliband all got rich from socialism while pretending to care about the poor people.
So keep supporting them and their personal wealth generating plans.
At least Farage has a plan (that is costed properly)and involves freedom for our country to make its own decisions and defend itself properly.

You seem happy to live off handouts from other people/countries. Maybe we should start trying to stand on our own 2 feet without scrounging/living off scraps that others want to give us. Are you happy to keep receiving hand outs for doing nothing and just pass the debt on to our children?
By living off these handouts we are dependant on doing what they say - so no independeence, freedom or incentive to earn for ourselves.
Thats the socialist way, keep us dependant and under complete control (Housing, education, hand outs etc). Lets get our freedom back and decide our own futures and what we want to do. vote UKIP.

Do you think these kind of voters have ever thought that maybe they're under qualified or just not suitable for a job? If a foreign person has more qualifications to work than say a Brit then why should we get priority?

Correct. Jobs should be on given on qualifications, experience and suitability. Too many people in top public service jobs (MP's and AMs included) lack all 3 of these.
There should be a points sytem and only immigrants who can communicate in English (or Welsh or Gaelic) should be allowed in to the country and get a job. UKIP idea by the way.

Haven't we been living in handouts from the rest of the UK since the demise of coal/steel anyway?? A situation that hasn't improved with successive Tory and labour governments in Westminster ??

Our predicament will never improve under the current UK system, regardless of whether we are in the EU or not, until welsh people grow a pair of bollocks and start to vote for greater autonomy. As it stands we are not strong enough financially, too reliant on the benefits system and local authority public sector jobs and the only way to break the chain IMO is to start making decisions about our own economy ourselves. We need stronger devolution to do that ( and perhaps then we can think about removing the monopoly that Labour enjoy in the Senedd)

Well, you have to be a no brainer to vote labour. They haven't got a clue about economics and without money in the coffers you can't fund an inflated public sector. UKIP are the best option. Labour have also ruined Wales and turned a lot of it into a second world country. The education system they've ruined, its far behind that in England, the economy they ruined and they waste too much on vanity projects. Sorry, but not even the Tories are Tory anymore unless you're talking Hannan or Rees-Mogg etc. Cameron is a lefty appeasing puppet and PR idiot. The reality is, only UKIP will take the debt seriously and only UKIP have a fully costed manifesto. Economic prosperity is the key as is devolution and a better deal with the EU.
