Forgive me if I'm a tad on the dim side here. How long is his contract? He can't just be sold if he's in contract, if he wants to stay he'll stay.
Mind you, if that were the case it wouldn't surprise me if Slade got orders not to play him and that's a whole different story.

True, for 2-3mil higher than what he will go for this summer...One of the many disadvantages of changing the club's ethos/fabric mid-way through a season

That's because he hasn't had a great season.

Simon Moore not good enough for a team that has aspirations of challenging at the top of the Championship.

His handling is suspect and he seems to make at least one mistake every game. He will cost us more points than he earns us next season.

However, as our target seems to be aiming for 20th place next season, he'll probably do.

Ive been told even if David Marshall who is very settled at Cardiff City wants to stay,he will be sold as City want to reduce the wage bill by at least much as they did in the last 6 months.

Marshall who is on £25,000 plus a week and is still worth £millions is already wanted by a number of clubs including Derby County and some of the Premier League Clubs.

Simon Moore would become City's No1 backed up by Joe Lewis, How would you feel about that?

Slade has his orders by Tan to continue to reduce the wage bill and then he will be able to bring in new players.

He can only be sold if he agrees to a move.

So basically if he wants to stay he will and still get his £25k a week

Thats very true, but if the club make you feel your not wanted, then a true professional like Marshal will move on.

How much would a 'new' Marshall cost IF we are to believe Tan's assertion that he wants us back up in the Premier League? :?

As Forever Blue would say, Hmmmmmm :(

Marshall WANTS to stay...and so do his family! :ayatollah: :notworthy:

Selling him makes financial sense in my opinion.

They cant really sell him if he doesn't want to go though, its his choice at the end of the day.

Selling your undoubted best players has always been a good strategy.
Nothing tells me Moore is anywhere good enough..How many have we actually won when he has started ?

Should have sold Marshall and got Westwood last summer

Don't get why our fans are saying Moore isn't good enough. When he was playing I don't think we had Manga in our defence, our player of the season. We also played top teams as well.

Wasn't Manga's fault Moore gifted Brentford their goal by dropping a free kick that went straight at him.

Every goalie makes mistakes of course but Moore seems to have at least one handling error in every game he plays.

you base an opinion on what you have seen him play....he looked solid enough in the games 6 or so games he played.. :ayatollah:

If we want to get promoted he must stay, but make someone else captain...maybe Peltier. He's a class above Moore and Lewis, though Moore may one day be as good.

Madness if true. If the club are serious about a return to the PL from Championship, then they're going to lose a proven GK at both levels and who is also settled at Cardiff. Moore is good but is some way off being the finished article - ideal cover but not 1st choice. As someone said earlier, whilst Marshall (or any other GK) should not be given captains duties (needs to be an outfield position), you need the backbone of your team and Marshall is part of that - he has been out best and most consistent player for years. Nothing would surprise me at this club though as the blind are leading the blind. You could give RS a budget of £30m and he would come home with just a handful of magic beans.

There out to sell all our best player ,yet they want to be in contention for a top spot next season BULLSHIT!
I have had a guts full of Tan and his broken promises. Still haven't renewed my season ticket and my familys and I wont till he is gone. :sladeout:

No idea why people are moaning this is part of getting the debt down the same people wanted blue back and debt down, wtf do people expect the cherry and the cake. The club can not win eitherway. The trouble is half our fan base have known nothing but good times and act Like spoilt brats.

What are the club supposed to say we selling everyone when it's obvious why

The thing is many of us have been here before where we had a good 2nd division side and then started selling our better players. We ended up in the bottom division battling to stay in the league.

He's not as good as he used to be and needs to move on. He should have more ambition than to be playing for a mid table Chanpionship club at his age. :sladein:

If he's got a contract, he doesn't have to go.

Because a player does not have to go if he does not want to = ON PERSONAL TERMS ;)

When are people on here and fans of this club going to see the mistakes which have been made with contracts and wages ??

You offer a player a contract - if he does not want to move = Tough ( sad but true ) .

Don't pick him....He still gets paid ;)
