Invent a time machine. Go back in time to before they treated fans like total shit. Dont do it.

There are too many spoilt fans who have become used to either glory or some success. I have renewed and will support the team whatever : I hate the dictator Tan and I'm not impressed with our manager, but we've been through far worse in the past and I've always been there.

THIS CAN BE SOLVED VERY EASILY START TREATING THE HOME FANS WITH AS MUCH RESPECT AS THEY TREAT THE AWAY FANS.
And a massive part of this should be a concerted effort by all those responsible for the current layout of the Stadium to sit down and discuss where they went wrong and contributed to a poor atmosphere and a rubbish match day experience for OUR fans. The only way you will a) Create a brilliant atmosphere and b) Get back thousands of missing fans is to allow like minded vocal fans to congregate together in a standing singing section NEXT to the away support.

All this crap sack Slade and what appoint Ian hollaway or some other no name.
it's about bringing back some optimism stop selling the best players cos of cost cutting keep manga fabio bring back connelly start buying one or two decent players.
have some truth about where we are going
stop the bullshit stewarding it's childish at best ,me my father and son all sit next to each other in the canton and yet we are made to go up different gates cos it says so on our cards and that is just plain annoying and that's just one thing the stewards do to stop us from enjoying the game
Wed Apr 29, 2015 12:06 pm
Annis, just ask them where vincent tans 5% is now.
Too much disrespect shown I'm afraid they have torn the spine from our club it's guna take more than a few inconclusive meetings made out of nothing but desperation to sort this mess out.
It will be time to heal wounds and success on the pitch that will be the key factors and we all know what's hindering the latter

Give us our previous badge back.
Its a big part of our identity.
Yet another new badge is unnecessary and unwanted.

Drop the prices quite a bit.
Charge £10 for adults and see the fans flock back.
Bring back safe standing inside the ground to ramp up the atmosphere.

nobby wrote:There are fans who will renew each year regardless of the goings on at the club, at present i am still one of those in that category but i will admit my patience are wearing thin.
So what will bring the fans back?
In my experience as a fan and its the same with any club its success that gets the fans through the gate in big numbers.
This season has been a chore if im honest and many are not renewing due a number of reasons. Some examples are ;
1. Financial situation.
2 The managers style of play and incompetence.
3. The ethos at the club due to the current regime.
Well said that man!!!
4. Lost interest.
They are some of the examples i have heard by many fans as to why they wont renew.
Its now down to the club to come up with a plan to eradicate this negativity from our fan base and to get them back on side.

Send WAYNE NASH to Germany
see how they are ALLOWED to create an atmosphere and treat football properly
going after the family club of the year award has killed us

Personally I don't think a season ticket offers value for money anymore, when you consider the dross being served along with the cheaper tickets from Amazon from time to time along with friend a friend for a tenner days etc etc. For me personally I cant justify paying it. My ST going up didn't help. Will still get to games but not have a season ticket and with crowds set to be low I bet we will see more and more of these deals.

Lou Vogel wrote:What Cardiff needs at present, is a manager that fans can relate too. Malky (forget what happened afterwards) is a good example. He not only inspired the players, but the fans too. He respected us, we respected him. He made the team hard working and hard to beat, and the fans respected that. We enjoyed going to games and watching a hard working team ethic.
What we have at present is a manager which nearly every Cardiff fan thinks is out of his depth, and doesn’t deserve his spot as manager of our club. He doesn’t respect the fans, and he’s lost most of the fanbase.
We’re back in blue, we have a decent squad, with a few additions and right manager we can progress. We just need the right person to inspire everyone at the club, and return the enjoyment of watching Cardiff
Not to mention, walk up tickets should be no more than £20 maximum. for all areas of the ground.

good response

There are many problems but we need to be realistic. I don’t expect us to increase our debt by big money signings. I also don’t expect the owner to honour his word on debt to equity and a new training ground (training ground never mentioned these days)
Some realistic changes that will help.
Cheaper beer to attract people into the ground earlier and also keep the bars open after the game so everyone won’t leave 5 mins before the end. also get some entertainment on the pitch before the game to get everyone in the stands (also raise the music volume as it’s so quiet)
I also think the demand base pricing isn’t working. A good idea but not going to work with our fans as proven in the championship. We should have a set price for tickets and they should not be more than £22. Also turn off the TV’s showing the game in the concourse. That annoys me as we should be in the stands watching it.
Final point. The food needs to be cheaper. There is better and cheaper food outside the ground. We need people in the ground earlier and not queueing in MacDonald’s and then there is a mass of people going in at 2.50pm.
I think these are some realistic changes that WILL help.
PS I liked the school tickets idea that rewards good behaviour. just not so many lol
Hope this helps

Replicate what they do in Dortmund, embrace fans for what they are, encourage and entice people with cheaper tickets. At the moment, cheaper tickets won't lose revenue as expensive tickets are not selling. Make the canton or grange a wall of blue. It's not rocket science and it works.

The number of season tickets sold has very little to do with the results and quality of football imo. The majority of the glory hunting plastics left when we got relegated.
The main reason thousands of the loyal fans haven't renewed yet (myself included) is because of the way we are treated. We want to feel valued and feel a part of our club, but on occasions, we get treated like criminals. The way the Blackpool fans were treated was disgraceful. This over zealous stewarding has to stop.
We all want to be able to attend a game and be left alone by the stewards to support the team and create an atmosphere, plus have the freedom of speech to protest about whatever we want, within reason. Why is that so much to ask for? When I read stories of stewards threatening to throw fans out just for looking towards the away fans, it's pathetic. These unneccessary, aggressive threats causes a provocative reaction resulting in arguing and squabbling, which ruins the game for fans. Treat us with respect to make our day more relaxed and enjoyable and we will be happy and renew again.
Also, why would any parent want to take their children to games to see their kids get intimidated by the away fans next to them and get attacked by these away fans throwing objects towards them? The ends need to be swapped around to improve the atmosphere and encourage families to want to go to games again. The family stand is always the most empty stand and that's because it's right next to the away fans. Kids are too intimidated to go to games again after a frightening experience and some parents don't want their children close enough to be able to make out the foul mouthed, abusive insults and chants from away fans.

Annis
I have been discussing via email with Wayne various topics that seem to be the main concerns across the board which I also share (the lack of atmosphere/singing sections, Russell Slade and his tactical old fashioned naivety, debt to equity, the missed opportunity to speak to a willing Tony Pulis and so on)
I have one topic which is majorly concerning and close to my heart that you could pass on to the powers that be
And that is this -

its never to late to do things as season doesnt start until aug? what fans need before then is hope that things will improve at club and obvious start is manager! failing that several good signings to give optimism for season ahead.

What a joke? The management's credibility is very much in question. How can you believe that Cardiff is going to fight for promotion when the team is being gutted, the performance is terrible, the quality of players coming in is low. Just can't believe Slade's statements nor the administrations as well about how we are pursuing a strategy of promotion.
Football fans are not just customers. They are fans which is far more than a customer. Any marketing expert who is credible can tell you that.
The whole atmosphere has changed to one of repression. The stewards seem like they are power hungry elitist. No freedom of speech, stewards keep staring at the coward, police taking pictures of fans for no reason. There is no more Welsh Guards at half time, no kids playing their little games, no introductions of sporting people - like Nathan Cleverly.
During the game there is no replay of goals on the big screen, no booms and music when we score.
The food is cold dried up, costs lots and tastes terrible. Can't even take a beer into the stands.
When you walk through the gate your are scanned by the stewards as if you are going to break some law of the owners.
So I ask you all, how can anyone take seriously why season ticket sales are down and trying to look for way to improve it.

1/ Loyalty for long-term season ticket holders (5 years or more)
2/ Reduce by a large amount - the price of beer etc as the prices are a disgrace
3/ Give season ticket holders major merchandise discounts and discounted away travel
4/ Stop calling us customers FFS.
5/

ASAP - Just not good enough for CCFC.

This ^^^^^^ are we the only club to seat our family stand next to away fans? All adds to a pathetic matchday experience and atmoshere, fed up of hearing the excuses from Wayne Nash, other clubs manage it so why carnt we?

Good idea!
I agree, and it wouldn't cost that much either. A discount for those of us who have paid already would be nice!

Serious answer. Stop lying to us all the time, and stop treating fans like kids in the Stadium, Give us our atmosphere back with Nash's storm troopers threatening most fans with being ejected or banned because of the position there neck is in.
Wed Apr 29, 2015 6:02 pm
Slade must be replaced by a manager who simply knows what he is doing, also replace Scott Young, who is completely out of his depth, none of this is rocket science and should have been done long before now
Wed Apr 29, 2015 7:35 pm
A few easy suggestions.
1) Drop the car park prices in the stadium BACK to a square £5
2) Re-training of the stewards - too over-zelaous at present, also allocate each one to the same section of the ground to "know thier patch" / supporters better, and this may help them to know when to get involved and when not.
3) More effective use of the big sceen as opposed to it being another advertising board - replays!!!!
4) GET OUT IN TO THE SCHOOLS!!!! - I work in a Cardiff comp, and some freebies once in a while would be nice to generate some local interest (See my previous post Annis on the "Cardiff Blues Schools' day" in another thread)
4) 75% off the away shirt next season for ST holders up until 30th Sept (Will boost sales of Tans red shirts!)
5) The most difficult - remove the red seats/ repaint the outside of the new stand. Its a very visual and permanant reminder of all the bad blood regarding the rebrand.

Annis, swapping the Canton and Grange ends would give so many longtime fans such a boost
