Wez, think you will find we were saying the club had sold around 14k at this stage last season and others were claiming it was higher.
Also at the start of the season some argued that we had sold over 18,000 and a couple of us kept saying that it was less and it took until the clubs accounts to be released for a few of us to be proved correct.
Let's not change the history book for sake of debate.
So do you think or believe we will end up with 16,000 this season ?

Also bullshit was put out to the press than well over 18,000 were sold, yet the final sales were 16,000.
Over 6,000 down on the previous season then when it was 22,500 plus.

It might have been 12,000 Wez? ?
But do you honestly believe we will get 16,000 for next season?

Speaking from my perspective, I think the club got a little complacent with its loyal and existing fan base. I have been a season ticket holder for close on twenty years (not that that's an issue) but in the last three seasons I have been asked to move seats due to logistical changes without ever Being offered an acceptable solution.
To make matters worse, in the Premier League the attitude was if you don't like it, we will sell to someone else.
What has made me stall with the renewal process is the total lack of decency, respect and customer recognition coming out from the marketing department.
They seem to be targeting the wrong customer groups , rather than the fans who really matter.
The attitude of the ticket office is incredible at times and the insistence of charging a booking fee just to pick up tickets by hand is another bug bear.
All in all its the little things they do so badly which actually influences customer choice.

It was a joke between two mates that meet up at every game of the season.
And just to be clear Steve said we had sold 4,500 not less than 4,000

my apologise, didnt realise it was an inside joke

I've had a look at the season ticket stadium plan. Whilst I'm not so sad to have counted all the 'sold' dots, there certainly seemed to be more than 4000 that had changed to the requisite colour.

The club needs to:-
1. Not listen to Carl or anyone else who thought that a return to blue would bring fans running back - always a ridiculous notion
2. Sort out the playing side. It makes limited business sense to reduce prices drastically to sell a few more tickets. We know that if the product is right then the market is there and price is not then the issue. So, the issue is the product. The answer has to be to address the football. So....
3. Get rid of Slade and his backroom rabble...PLEASE

get players who play for the badge, not the wages
Tue Apr 28, 2015 9:16 pm
Next season is the first at ccs where they have charged for under 9's in the family stand. Why? Reducing the price for adults slightly kids nobody. My family have 12 season tickets in the family stand now, next season it will be 4 for no reason other than financial. Bring back free kids! They are the future of ccfc.
Tue Apr 28, 2015 9:19 pm
Sack slade.
Thats a start.
Tue Apr 28, 2015 9:20 pm
I glad they are not giving free season ticket s for under 9 plenty of parents couldn't get tickets in the family stand on occasion this season coz they were told it was sold out but the stand was half full on the match day
Tue Apr 28, 2015 9:23 pm
the football is dire, in other words f*cking shit, people will not pay to watch the shit played down there, season tickets was a backl;ash from the prem, a new owner, manager and players are the way forward

ninianblue wrote:get players who play for the badge, not the wages

That's one of many problems sadly - but agree.
Tue Apr 28, 2015 9:35 pm
I think it's more than the cost of a season ticket. The club needs to show supporters that they have genuine ambition. You would hope that this club were going to strive to be the best in the Championship next season. Unfortunately, Slade believes we can reach the play offs IF we hit the ground running. Not ambitious or positive enough for me. I would like to see a manager who believes that he can put together a group of players who can finish in the top two, not just aim for the play off lottery at the end of the season where we have already failed in recent years. With Slade here, I don't think we will get any closer to the top six than we did this season.
Tue Apr 28, 2015 9:38 pm
Carl, with thousands already with tickets not turning up it's clear to see that it's the football not the price that is the key factor in sales. Like you said people aren't believing in the product, we can use money issues all we want but if were battling in the top end again these people will come back.
That's not to say I don't agree with cheaper ticket deals. I think we should offer u18's individual match day group discounts as these are the guys that get the atmosphere going and also more likely to have less money available.
Tue Apr 28, 2015 10:10 pm
Good Idea - But is it viable to cover the costs ?
Tue Apr 28, 2015 10:22 pm
as said before. its not the price of season tickets that puts you off, its the standard of football you are paying to watch, its shocking, for championship football

Forever Blue wrote:I have renewed for just my Daughter aged 14 and Myself.
In the past I would of renewed for My Wife and my 2 other children aged 5 and 9 years old, but they dont go to night games etc so I Wont pay £425 for Ninian Stand with etra cost plus £260 each for my children
If they had done an offer in the Ninian, I would of renewed all of us.
You have identified yourself as why these cheap season ticket offers don't work, as you say, your daughters and wife won't attend many games so it's not worth you buying season tickets at current price, yet would if cheaper. This would only lead to empty seats, as has been the case with the last two seasons as many season tickets especially in the family stand were sold off so cheaply that those supporters felt that it was no great loss when they didn't attend games when results and the standard of football dropped. Winning football will bring supporters back faster than any price slashing, the club needs to concentrate on getting that right and the fans will return. Ironically the way things are going with low season ticket sales, the club could make more money than they have done over the last five years if they got into a promotion challenge.
Tue Apr 28, 2015 10:54 pm
Let's be honest, there are a significant number of those who have not renewed who can't bear the thought of watching another season of 'Slade football'. I know numerous ST holders who have not renewed simply because of Slade. Like me, they loathe everything about the man.
Tue Apr 28, 2015 11:09 pm
For those criticising Slade and blaming him for being the reason people aren't renewing... Slade since he took over in October has a better points per game ratio than Dave Jones did in his first season, under him the club developed massively.

Ian,
Ive heard from some people 2,500,but I believe the club are saying 4,000.
So lets hope the club are at least right on this

Truth of the sad affairs just over 2000 - Get paying adult - full price child £1 £10 £50 - bring a 1 friend from £30 as long as full paid season ticket holder
Happier approach with fans from stewards - definitely have to lose the aggression before someone gets hurts either way
brewing for to long on this matter cant believe it still going on with so many complaints and discussions had been a the other way around fans be banned or arrested - nip this in the bud
get rid of the debuts as promised
release the structure of the club plans for the future with Tans Mum present - as she has the influence over tan supposedly
Get the team to show 110 percent no less win or lose and fans will appreciate it -
otherwise they will

so deep be years before fans will return unless major success happens

My other daughters and my Wife lost interest because it became so dire down there as well, plus children like an atmosphere and there certainly is not one down there. So what I am saying is lets entice them back with cheap tickets, mayb then a better atmosphere.
The stadium will look awful empty next season.
If we are doing well next season, yes the fans will return for the odd big game at those prices, history and the facts prove that with City fans.
