Academies are the answer !!!!!!!!!

What f*cking bollocks Ramsey, Bale would have been found irrespective of academies. What about the African kids have they been to academies ????? Academies are for parents who failed at sports who push their kids to achieve something they could not do themselves, only for 99.5 % of these kids to be spewed out. Reading between the lines I feel there are a few on here who never played any sport and offer this tripe.

It's a pity you weren't the Captain of the Titanic ,you'd have avoided the iceberg From Mars bars to deprived kids in Africa , Just saying if there were no academies , where would these kids play , parks football and a call on a Saturday morning from the Manger "Whittinghams out bring your boots" You've made quite a few assumptions throughout this post with no substance to support your argument , what ever that is now

This kid is going to Holland on a trip, with strict dietary requirements to apply...in short parents should not buy them sweets, drinks et al !!!! Equally these children have talks by sports psychologists. Perhaps it is me but really are we going mad????
What in the name of sanity is happening....can anyone enlighten me please ?

:o :o :o :o

You finished this by saying "can anyone enlighten me please" ,well many tried on this thread and your answer to that was to personally diss everyone who tried. Not a way to win an argument young man.Whenever someone tries to belittle your point of view by personal attacks you know you've got them on toast.

A few years ago I used to work with a guy that came up through the dutch system but sadly his career finished when he broke both legs in a motorbike accident. However he used to tell me what it was like growing up in such an academy.Nutrition was always an important factor in the kids development.See,if a kids got real talent and the disapline needed but at 17 still likes pies and sweets then he's got no chance of making it.Do you realize that drinking cans of coke regularly from an early ages actually can IRREVERSIBLY CHANGE YOUR METABOLISM FOR THE WORST.That shit should carry a gov. health warning.Your other point about kids being let down is valid but its not a new phenomena. This mate of mine once told me that he was speaking to Kevin Keegan when he was manager of Newcastle Utd and he said that the chance of any young kid playing prem football was about one in 2000 then! Its up to the parents to manage their expectations which most do miserably.Thing is, football has been playing catchup for so long now when you look at other pro sports.

I hope this post enlightens you a little but I have my doubts.People who think they can win an argument shouting and being personal rarely do...............win an argument that is.
