Only just realised this! And they're wondering why only 4,000 season tickets have been sold!

Why would any of us want to renew when we see OUR stewards treating ALL fans like this?

I think this should not be allowed legally; even though he owns the stadium its a public place and democratic protest should override his opinion. He can do what he likes in his own private space but any publically open arena should allow peaceful protest as long as it doesn't represent a breach of peace.

All this nonsense is a reminder of feudal times.

If it was a public place you may have a point.

The point was, there was nothing on the banners or their scarfs that were out of order.

I feel for the Blackpool fans and its good to see football fans unite from other clubs, we must remember how much football means to many football fans,to some its their life and they love their clubs :thumbright: :thumbright:

No your quite right, nothing offensive at all but it doesn't matter a jot if the owners of the club do not permit banners as our lot will know. You know yourself whatever establishment you enter whether it be a football ground, cinema, pub or restaurant you abide by their rules, end of.Blimey, how many people have you and your mods banned because they've said something you don't like?Which ,of course is your right as you own this site.

First only banned people for continually belittling, continually sarcastic and bringing down other posters, swearing, racism etc.

Every poster that wants a good debate is very welcome on here and different opinions :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright: Thats why the Forum has grown and grown ,over 5 years old this forum :thumbright: :thumbright:

As to Pubs/Night clubs/Cinemas etc your right :thumbright:

But a football club is different its peoples lives and they Love it beyond.

We worship our clubs, well we use to

I wasn't having a dig at you(not this time anyway  )My point is as YOU own this board and what you ban people for is neither here or there and theres not alot I can do about it whether its right or wrong just as when you buy a ticket for the city you are agreeing to their terms and conditions and if you don't like them well...................

I think the point being it shouldn't be the case. I'm sure you're right that these owners can probably get away with anything dhort of murder in establishments they own. That tells us a lot about the real establishment and how they pay lip service to democracy. However it cannot be ethically right. If someone opens up to their establishment for the paying public they should have no more say in what goes on than in any public place and arbitrary censorship should not be allowed. As long as the behaviour is deemed legal in any public area then an owner should not have the right to prevent it. They open their places for their own benefit so should conform to the public metier. In their own private space without the money involvement then things could be construed differently. Democracy is precious and fragile, we don't want rich bastards dictating to the common man. :sladeout:

The only way you can have any effect is to vote with your feet which I believe is already happening. They used to hate Tan because he changed the colour now they hate him cause he wants his money back.

Loved this facebook post from Jason Manford:

Dear fans,

After my earlier post regarding calling Karl Oyston of Blackpool FC an 'odious ferret' I've been contacted by my lawyers.
So I would like to retract my comments, they were unfair and misjudged and I can only apologise for letting myself, my family and my fans down. The last thing I want is to cause upset and to be taken to court over a silly comment.
I can only hope that my apology is accepted by ferrets and ferret owners everywhere. They of course make lovely, loving, loyal pets & are easily trainable & entertaining. To compare them to that total bellend was an insult to ferrets and for that I am sorry. To be even be mentioned in the same sentence to that knuckle-dragging slimy cockmuppet was a miscalculation on my part.

Regards,

Jason Manford
