Spot on.

How many times are people going to peddle this crap? They'll never replace Michu they said. They'll never replace Bony. They'll never do this. Guess what? Time and time again they do it whether it's players, the manager or backroom staff. Why? Because they have the correct setup behind the scenes who know exactly what they want. Kills me to say it but they epitomise everything football should be about - team ethos, family feel to it, the underdog going up against the massive clubs, their way of football and doing it their way regardless of what the detractors say. Time to face facts. Swansea are the club now we've wanted to be for years and years. Horrible to admit but its the painful truth.

Good post,as much as i hate them you have to admit they are a well run club and we are light years behind them,i think it will be a long long time before we ever get on a par with them

Scored 3 goals away today .

Against a club in free fall. Well done.

Oh and three goals away without a number 1 or 2 striker is pretty good i think .

Our club is a shambles from top to bottom.
If Slade is sacked at the end of the season and replaced by someone who can restructure the club from top to bottom it will take between 5 to 7 years before we can compete on an even footing again.
Anybody who thinks the Jacks will go down next season is barking.
If anything they are growing stronger and stronger.

I wouldn't be that negative, I'm a Bristol City fan and we were in full on free fall just last year until Cotterill came in and worked with the board to turn us around, now we've done a lower league double and are much stronger in terms of our structure and how we're being run.
Cardiff have a lot more potential than us as much as I hate to admit it, you have more space to expand your stadium, you have a massive amount of potential for filling that stadium and despite Tans cock up's he's obviously starting to realise that the blue and the bluebird mean a lot. As much as Tan is a madman he's also a business man and he may have come into football seemingly clueless but he's obviously learning as the blue is back, the bluebird is back, now he just needs to find you the right manager who knows how to build without overspending.

The only reason I'll call the Samaritans is if slade remains in charge.

If you are as good as you think and play such wonderful exciting football why are you the team that appears last on motd most often?

The fact that you are on a Cardiff forum says a lot about your bitterness. 2nd city syndrome it's called.

No I'm 42 been going for 35 years. Exiled since 1989. My boys ccfc through and through despite being born in England. Hate the jacks with a passion. Hurts to admit they are better than us but they are at moment. However nothing is forever and sooner or later we will be above them again.

Good reply fair play, I'm ten years older than you and been going since 1970. I admire your loyalty, it will happen one day, but your comments about motd and their win against Newcastle away were pretty childish imo.

We are all entitled to an opinion but my point about them being last on motd most is I believe correct. If I'm wrong I'll hold my hands up and apologise.

They are last on MOTD more than any other club. Fact. Correct. Lol.

I just think it's sad that grown men and long-time supporters are being drawn into petty squabbles. You are both proper Bluebirds so leave it at that.

It's been stated before on this thread that it does no good to have a go at "them" at the moment as they have too much ammunition. Far better to "keep your powder dry" in my opinion.

The fact this thread is here belies a naïvety and just asks for trouble. If I didn't I know better, I'd say it was started by a troll.

Here's the thing: Cardiff have huge potential, but at the moment, things are "a bit quiet". So just keep your own council. Shhh.

One last thought - When OGS was first interviewed about the prospect of managing ccfc in the PL, HE MADE THIS SAME MISTAKE. Instead of just targeting progress and a decent league position, he made the stupid and misdirected comment that Cardiff should finish above the jaxx. What if they had finished in 20th?? Both clubs would have been relegated. Rivalry is one thing but all-consuming obsession is another.

I don't care where Cardiff finish compared to "them". I just want MY team to do well!!!!!

Just saying. :bluescarf:

Re: Swansea's success won't last for long...

I'd personally be more concerned with the direction that CCFC are heading in rather than how successful Swansea are, continual growth on and off the field over the last 10/11 years has been made with out the need of money men just hard work and a policy which no one can deny hasn't worked. I recall the many comments on how boring the style of football was ,thats been developed and now tuned to adapt to the PL with players brought in to fit rather than some big name mercenary .With the exception of very few most clubs rise and fall, some peak too early and some don't take the opportunity to become established so most probably Swansea will fall out of the PL at some point and I'm sure there'll be many on here who can't wait for that day and will revisit old threads just to say I told you so .
Where has this "huge 'potential got Cardiff , no where , instead of being prepared to accept the fact that Cardiff are like any other mid sized club and to grow within and accept the pace at which is needed then there will always be many who like society want it all now and will remain unhappy.
Being first or last on MOTD doesn't really matter but continually growing and becoming a respected opponent in one of the worlds biggest leagues does .
