I don't suspect tan is doing this for fun? :old:

I tend to agree Allan. Tan is a wiley old fox. He knew stuff about Malky and I'm sure he has investigated things before refusing to pay all of a sudden.

What puzzles me is the debt must have come from a loan taken by, or on behalf of the club. That is as dodgy as anything else surely. Langston must be known to someone.

Anyway, wait and see I guess.

No edge funds are notoriously secretive as the people in them make a lot of money out of investing in sure fire profit making ventures! City was def one as we know from various people who screwed club over last 5yrs or so! :o

If everyone reads the case correctly,Sam/Langston are only taking Tan to court and say there is no need to get the club involved as it's a Tan that's being sued for going back on his agreement :thumbright:

I think we all know why Tan is taking this to court.

In previous cases the trial judge has alluded to the fact that Sam was part of Langston. Sam, outside of the courtroom, has always denied that.

Bottom line here is that the judge will not make an order for VT to pay this debt until it is clear who he is ordering the payment to be made to.

I would guess that the counterclaim is merely a way of ensuring a hearing in open court where we will finally get a definitive answer on who Langston is/are/were.

I'm no company law expert but if it comes out that Sam is Langston, does that make it unlawful that he leant money to one of his own companies without informing the board/shareholders of that conflict ? It's certainly not illegal for owners to plough money into a company but withholding information as to whom it is from, particularly when it is a loan charging interest, could be.

I honestly don't know the answer but it could shed some light on why VT has forced the issue into the courtroom.
