And putting recent improvements in our play down to Trollope
Can you tell me if he went home at half time
I think most would say we have improved since Trollope arrived, which we saw in the first half but as Slade has stated he has the final decision.
Don't think many who watched today's first half performance can honestly say they saw that second half result coming
I agree but it wasn't a surprise either
I'm not saying slade is faultless but it's time to get real
He is doing what his employer is asking him to do
Just like all of us do when we go to work
If your boss tells you to dig a hole you do it
If he only gives you a spoon to do it that's what you use
But he's doing ONLY what his employer is asking him to do and nothing more. But the problem is I don't think he's capable of doing any more.
Slades hands are tied ,and he's doing the best with what he got
He's brought in 7 of his own players but only starts 2 or 3 each game.
What makes me annoyed is no one says before kick off what team we should put out
No one says what players should have started what players should not of ,,all they say is slades clueless ,,
I hear loads of people saying who should start and who shouldn't, that's what fans do no matter who's in charge.
But what is the answer with what we have available,, not who's gone ,,they are gone ,,
Give youth a chance. We've got nothing to play for this season.
Stability is what we desperatly need not another new manager in such a short space of time
Now is the perfect time to bring in a new manager with a few games left and the summer to buy, sell and coach the players his way before the new season starts.
IMO the first half today was as good as I've seen all season ,,we just needed to take one of our many chances ,,but that's football
Totally agree and that's been coming since Trollope arrived.
IMO the players let us and our manager and coaches down big time today with that second half performance ,,
So why don't we put the blame on them for a change![]()

Manager, coaches and players alike should take the blame, but it also goes higher up than that.
Slade is not the man to take this club forward. In fact he will take us backwards. If he is still in charge next season we will be fighting relegation in front of 8000 in a soulless stadium.

He has a team full of title winners, internationals and premier league experience, far more than Brentford have. And he also spent close to £1m on a striker in January. Yet Brentford are still above us in the table. If you want to support Slade then that's your right but I see no reasoning behind it other than blind faith.

Arguably we are the first club he has worked for that are not one of the minnows in their league and would expect promotion.
I don't necessarily support him with blind faith (With regards to budget I meant last season not this season) but I think some of the stuff fans are saying is complete rubbish. Hilariously some fans are calling for the return of Jones, a man who should never have been sacked and treated the way he was by the club and the fans, a man I did totally support and these u-turns show the complete lack of football knowledge with the fans of this club.
I can see us appointing Warburton or this Portuguese guy and these same fans saying we should have never sacked Slade as we yet again fail to meet ridiculously high expectations.

Jones was a good manager for us but the time was right for him to go. By the end he looked like he had had enough of it all himself. I wouldnt want him back, as feel his time as a championship manager is done, but I respect what he did here.

Today we were still playing his unique pass and stop game that we have made our own under his leadership. Unfortunately I don't see us ever moving forward under the present coaching and management set up.
