The reason Leanne wood spoke to WAles because she has to win the support of Wales sturgeon has won Scotland so naturally is now moving on to influencing UK politics with the strength of the seats she will win firmly behind her. I can only assume that people thought she was embarrassing because she sounded 'too welsh' which seems a problem for a lot of people in Wales bizarelly. No wonder we can't fight for ourselves when most are ashamed of where they come from. Why would it not be valleys valleys valleys ? Like the others give a toss. the difference between her and the others is that when she goes to work her first thought is what can we do for Wales for the others we are so far down the list.

Agree with this . Came bottom of every poll done on the programme . Way out of her depth .
. .you should be East of Risca. Use your head the polls are based on the uk. Wales is the smallest country. With too many people who are not Welsh or who have lost their identity and their b#lls. Hence the reason the Scots who stand up for their rights do better.

I have finished what I want to say. I am not a Welsh nationalist but some of you sadden me. I think of myself as Welsh. You clearly think of yourself as someone who happens to live in North Risca. :sleepy2:

What are you rambling mate . I have voted plaid in the past , that was an awful display targeted at the wrong audience . The SNP lady stood up for her country but in the right manner . The polls are uk based as it was a uk wide debate .

She actually targeted the right audience because she aimed all of her comments at the people who live in Wales, the people who get most of their political news from UK news channels, the very same channels that normally treat Wales like an irrelevance. But yesterday Wales had a level playing field (well almost...the big parties still had more air time) and Leanne Wood took the opportunity quite well. She is not the intellectual powerhouse like some of the other leaders but she stood up for the ordinary people of Wales and she represented good honest human values. None of the other parties or party leaders give a toss about Wales and don't deserve our vote. We are the poorest area because we have the weakest voice and because we are irrelevant to the rest of the UK. Scotland has a lot more money spent on them per head of the population than Wales because they have a stronger voice and more influence so Westminster has to take more notice of them. She didn't aim her comments at the English audience because they can't vote for her, so in my opinion she aimed at exactly the right audience.

I thought, leanne did really well and held her own, the major point she was making was for Wales and the underfunding that we are receiving from Westminster, and Wales needs european funding

I agree, but it is image over substance rather than debating prowess. Think back to when Hague was leader of the Tory party. He was arguably the best orator since Churchill, but had the wrong image.

Plaid are the 4th party in Wales in all fairness the Irish parties should have been there before Wood as at least they are more popular in their own country than Plaid are in Wales.!!!

Out of them all whether people like him or not Cameron was the only one to come out with any economic plan going forward.

The moment he said 'you will raise debt with taxes', 'you will raise debt with taxes' was a very good comment. Also when he mentioned 70 Labour MPs employing people on zero hour contracts. Plus the 'Mid Staffs' comment but that's another thing.

Im confused with Plaids message of late. They want to represent the people of Wales yet want to welcome more immigrants so the very people they want to represent wont be able to get jobs, housing etc because of the extra immigration they want to bring in. They then say they want to create (I think it was) 20,000 public sector jobs yet first of all whos going to pay for that and also out of that 20,000 figure then how many of them will be filled by the extra immigrants they want to being into the communities of Wales. Sorry but some of their plans are written on back of a fag packet and Labours too. For example Labours plan to tackle zero hour contacts are that after 12 weeks people should be given a permanent contract so as a result the amount of 11 week contracts will boom and if you are limiting people to 11 weeks work then its making them worse off then if they were on a ongoing zero hours contract!!!!

Back of a fag packet stuff

this is what we need for the country

Nicola Sturgeon (snp) as leader

The conservatives economic plan

Ukips plan on immigration

Labours plan on housing And the workforce

Plaid and snp plan which are similar for the nhs

Put them together and we would have a landslide winner at the election and a much much better country
