which imbecile sanctioned that contract knowing relegation was a distinct possibility? shocking mismanagement of the club from the top down.

It was an act of desperation. We all know on his day Kenwynne was a huge asset to any team. It would've been a stroke of genius has it worked.

The OP states there is another year on his contract. Can anyone confirm if he is actually out of contract in the summer? Keeping fingers crossed that he is as those are very strong wages and bonuses to be paying. :bluescarf:

A Massive Saving :thumbright: but then dont expect fans to pay £30 odd a game as the teams being stripped all the time.

Hopefully this means Mason's return is very close to have Doyle, Macheda, Revell for the rest of the season.

Also McAleny is really a forward not a winger, Maynard is still here too for some reason.

Saying that, if he actually tried he would be unplayable at this level. He has shown flashes this season.

For the Bournemouth fans reading I wouldn't worry too much. He can be very good and if your team are confident then I imagine he will try. If he doesnt do it for you, then who will he do it for now?. He is playing for his career in the final few months of this season.

In terms of our team, I am hoping we release him in the summer as he is the complete opposite of what we need at this time.

£5000 a goal? :o :o :o

Good job he saved the club at least £15000 with his misses over the last couple of weeks!

As we're obviously listening to offers for anyone at the club (including probably the tea lady and the groundsman) do you think we could get Tan off the wage bill by sending him on loan to some League 2 team?

Blue at any cost, they said. Well, they got it! ;)

Who negotiated that ?

Plus don't forget we gave a striker to Stoke in the exchange

Re: CONFIRMED/CARDIFF CITY'S HIGHEST PAID PLAYER TO BOURNEMO

Thu Mar 26, 2015 5:27 pm

And with one fell swoop (two if you include Connolly) the club yet again prove that their statement that they are committed to getting back to the Premier League as soon as possible is a load of bollocks. The only thing they are committed to is getting rid of anything or anyone that has any value as quickly as possible.

Even Bournemouth, who are often quoted on here as a club to copy in the way that they are run and the way they are managed, feel that they have to spend hundreds of thousands of pounds in loan fees, wages, bonuses etc for the last few weeks of the season to achieve promotion. It's a fact that if you want to be promoted, you have to invest in the team.

Does anyone really think that with the scale of the cost cutting being undertaken that we have any chance of challenging for promotion next season ?( leaving aside Slade's limitations as a manager)

Consolidate - fine. Cut costs - fine but stop bullshitting the fans about the clubs intentions and stop treating them as if they are stupid. We can all see what the club is doing and we either accept it or not but the club can have no argument with the thousands of fans who will stay away next season from the circus that the club has become.

Thu Mar 26, 2015 5:42 pm

So Bournemouth give us a 6figure sum for him
Pay his wages and bonuses
And will give another 6figure sum if they get promoted ?

To me that's great business sense
We complain about our debt etc
Complain how shit he is
Yet he gos on loan and people complain
Honestly some people get a grip

Expect the club to revise ST prices come Sept, much to late.

Can only see a season of struggle and off field issues as food outlets cut and in other areas.

The Club really has lost the plot, no Captain and rudderless it beggars belief :old:

He was due to sign on loan for Newport County today and has been training all week with them.

He couldn't sign as he recently came back from Colchester.

Another youth player who obviously won't get a chance like most of the others :ayatollah:

This makes very good sense, especially as it appears KJ was intending going at end of the season.

The next 7 games should be about giving the future players a chance. Not going up, not relegated. This may actually be a great incentive to motivate the squad.

In what way savings trickle down to fans? Less for match tickets? That would mean reducing ST prices and giving refund to already bought ST! But according to this board only couple thousand fans are buying ST anyway, so club will lose even more money so increasing cost cutting ect ect! Bet complaints will rocket then?

If the figures are true about jones, (them paying virtually all his extreme wages, paid us a loan transfer and a bonus if they get promoted) then it's fantastic business for the lazy tw*t, we have a squad now that although lacking talent is giving 100% for each other then they see jones just going through the motions and never even breaking a sweat, it's about time the club started offloading dead wood.
