Well as a City fan said today to me. "How can they expect City fans to turn up? and how can they expect us to pay £30 odd?"

Spot on :thumbright:

£30 is certainly way over priced.

My mates calls us a nasty club.

All the years gone I've often found it a friendly club.

I'll admit that a match day ticket is overpriced and the club needs to address that. I'm sure they will when the numbers drop drastically next season. But can I add this is not just our club that charge silly money for tickets, it seems to be football in general that is over priced.

But my point is fans wanted the return to blue, it's happened. Fans want the debt addressed, this seems to be happening. You can't expect the club to reduce debt but spend silly money on players and wages at the same time, it's just not viable.

It looks as though the club will not be relegated this season and the club have realised this, so what is the point of keeping a player and pay his wages who possibly won't be here next season. Hopefully we will see Slade trynig out a few youngsers in the next few games to see what they have to offer us next season.

Russell has confirmed that it was a business decision and not a footballing one.

Cardiff City: Matthew Connolly loan a 'business decision' says Slade

Cardiff City manager Russell Slade insists defender Matthew Connolly still has a future at the club despite joining Watford on loan until the rest of the season.
The 26-year-old has started 22 games for Cardiff this season.
Slade admits the move does leave him slightly short, but that it was a business rather than a football decision.
"He'll come back, he's still a Cardiff City player," he said.
"It's not for a footballing reason he's gone.
"We don't look like we are going to make the play-offs and it also looks like we are not going to get relegated.
"We're in the middle of the table so a business decision was made for the football club.
"He knows the reasons for it [loan move] to be granted."
Connolly joined Cardiff in August 2012 from Queens Park Rangers having been a member of the team that won the 2010-11 Championship.
He won his second Championship winning medal with Cardiff City in 2013 and joins a Watford side currently on top of the division.
He will be available for the Championship leaders when they face play-off chasing Ipswich on Saturday.
"That was probably the attraction for Watford," Slade said of Connolly's previous promotions with QPR and Cardiff.
"They showed a bit of interest in the January window. He will strengthen their squad in an attempt to get out of the division.
"It's an opportunity for Matt because Watford are flying high at the minute."

Today Cardiff City loaned out Matt Connolly which has surprised many fans because Connolly has been playing in the first team but this was purely a business decision and not a footballing one.

Russell Slade did not want Connolly to go and whatever you think of the manager, there must be at least a little sympathy for him, he has his hands tied somewhat.

I wrote an update a couple of months ago when I said that the cost cutting would continue this season and in the summer it will continue and players with value will be sold off, this is still the case today as the loaning out of Connolly shows.

VT has drawn the conclusion we will not get relegated and is trying to save money.
Short term focus is not healthy for building team morale for next years' promotion push (?)

Why not? He will go and play in a winning team. ALF is scoring so has confidence back. Will help both players next year if they come back that is.

Agree with two posts above, I was embarrassed of our fans last game I saw. 2 yrs ago my foreman was demoted for being totally incompetent, all the lads complained he wouldn't deliver materials to their jobs or be of any help to anyone he was basically out for a cushy number and feck everyone else. They demoted him and promoted me, so I rang the changes from the off, making sure everything was catered for from start to finish of each said job. The 1st thing I realised was that no matter what I did these same people still moaned and still complained, I got them company t-shirts and hoodies, brand new kits worth £150 each to be issued at the start of each yr and they have all complained about 1 thing or another, out of 6 guys I got 1 thanks. I learnt very early on that no matter what you do or how much you deliver a lot of people are only happy being miserable and I feel our fans are bad for this. There's just no pleasing some people
Shame they can't put the same effort of moaning into actually supporting their team. Oh to be a Cardiff fan

If Peltier is fit Connolly won't be starting.
It's much needed income for the club with FFP looking like a big problem for us.

The willingness to offload No one on the last minute of transfer deadline day- a player who has featured in virtually every game must have been a clue to you all that we are still in the crap and the poor season ticket sales can't be helping either.

You can't say your not bothering to commit to the club in the one hand and then moan about cost cutting on the other.

Hardly encouraging us to renew is it.

I thought the same mate the letter states the club still has a desire to play in the premier league.
How does this happen if we sell or loan out players the manager wants to keep.
Its a business decision they say thats fine but it aint gonna get us in the prem is it.
