Re: ' VINCENT TAN TO RAISE £40 MILLION FROM CITY NEXT SEASON

Thu Mar 19, 2015 2:37 pm

40 mill could be about right depending on player sales, 19 mill for parachute payments, that leaves 21 mill, call it 11 on sold players;
Marshall - 5m , Manga - 6m - these two alone could make atleast 10m in my opinion.
Along with the others who could leave, noone, jones, Fabio, Pilkington for example.
Plus the wages we will trim by leaving our better players go and by the players we have already left go such as eikrem, burgstaller, cala, daehli.
I would say that 35m-40m would be a decent estimate to be honest.

£19 million from parachute payments.

Plus sales of players like Manga,Macheda,Le Fondre,Fabio, Marshall etc.

Can you name any that we would get £millions for? ?

No I can't name any except manga that's what I mean,if tan wants 40 million hes gna need to sell the whole squad, plus who's gna spend millions on our players, not like they've covered themselves in glory is it,I think this is bullshit tbh

I believe Tan would like to claw back at least £40 million before next season starts, thats why Slade will be here no matter what the fans think about him.

Slade has done what Tan has asked so far.

Think about it, Slade on wages approx£2,000 plus a week, told to sell, sell, sell and keep us up in the Championship, Slade has achieved both.

Now he will have to do the same for next season, not many managers would do that, top managers would be asking for money and going for promotion, they would tell Tan where to go.

' So £40 million? '

Why would he do that? Almost certain relegation next season, club not worth a wank in league 1 (or championship for that matter) so it wouldn't make sense, surely?? He'd never get his money back if he tried to sell us. Better to spend £20m get us back into the Prem pick up the £100m and then sell for top dollar. Makes much more sense. And before anyone says they wouldn't trust Slade with £20m....I could take us up with £20m !! This league is pants :bluescarf:

Gents we will go down if this is true. Be lucky to fill a corner. Away support is at a lower. Why would people pay for this. Would you pay for a meal that was not to the standard you are paying for; bye bye  cash cow

Connolly 500k Gunnarson 1.8m noone 2.2 total 4.5 all to Wigan

Your right they are worth that at least.

Malky might pay that for them or he might even buy Macheda for 7.5 million. No one else in their right mind would pay anywhere near 2.2 million for Noone or 1.8 million for Gunnarrson. 500k for Connolly is also wishful thinking.

Manga and Marshall our only players worth 2 million plus.

Well Norwich bid 3mill for noone in the winter break for a start.

This is all speculation I'm sorry.

a few high earners will go defiantly but we will keep a good core of players and sign a few young hungry talents, there will still be a budget for slade granted smaller than we are used to but time to come back down to earth Now and start acting like the small club that we are.

Players like ralls harris still coming through, next season I honestly believe will be alot better than this one.

I'm sure there will be further tightening but what people aren't seeing is that for a VT to recoup anything near what he is owed we will have to be challenging for the play-offs again for him to sell the club !

Player sales alone won't get anywhere near enough to tempt him to go. He's rich, not stupid !!!

It's a disaster considering we were a premier league side so recently!
That's years away now. This is a rebuild on a huge scale and lacks any ambition at all. Be lucky to sell 8000 season tickets :bluescarf:

Re: ' VINCENT TAN TO RAISE £40 MILLION FROM CITY NEXT SEASON

Thu Mar 19, 2015 4:26 pm

If all this is true, could it be the long-predicted exit strategy by Tan? He has certainly started to asset-strip and there is another parachute payment due. He has lowered the wage bill and I guess the sale of many top value, top earners has resulted in less on-going debt.

The amount of debt has been argued many times on this forum, so let's not get bogged down with figures. Just consider the above in conjunction with a partial debt to equity on Tan's part. This would make the sale of the club viable.

I think we can safely say, whatever the agenda, PL football will take years to achieve again. However, that doesn't stop the football becoming attractive and successful at whatever level. After all, many PL sides have in the recent past been in 2nd, 3rd or even 4th tier.

At least Blubirds are blue these days!!! :bluescarf:

Tan is so clueless doing this now, we have the advantage of parachute payments but he's not using them. No clubs have any money so it would be relatively easy to get promotion with a decent manager. Spends like a fool and then sells like one, great, no wonder no one gives one anymore. He will sell manga and Marshall next I bet....

So you believe means this is going to happen? It's like the fans who lambast Slade for team selection before a ball is kicked. He's sent Connolly out on loan and everybody decides time to Tan Bash.

I ask you this? Would the prima donnas have stuck in the game against Bournemouth and got a point? No they wouldn't and no they didn't, we were both at Bournemouth and we were lucky it was 5, they tore us a new backside.

Let's wait and see what happens, and if a fire sales happens then how about we judge the new players brought in after they have played. You can't keep selling your best players, but how will replace Caulker was the word!! Players always replaced, that's Football

Suck it up boys its the price of blue.Worth it for some I know(about 2000 of you)but you can't go blaming Tan either,he's only has to get back what he's spent which he is entitled to and if he leaves us still trading thats still better than when he took over.
