I for one am defo not referring to lucky or unlucky goals.

What I'm saying is we were more than a bit lucky to get anything out of two games when we were totally outplayed over 90 minutes.

When that happens it means your lucky not to have been well beaten. Isolated lucky moments often even out over time, being outplayed in most games certainly doesn't.

On any other night we might have conceded 6 against Brentford and another 4 against Bournemouth. It's mainly down to luck that we didn't.

By the same token we could have scored 4 or 5 goals ourselves - so that would be 'lucky' too.

I do agree both Brentford and Bournemouth had the best of the games, but we had plenty of chances last night, another day score could have been a lot different.

As for progress, at least we are creating - it was an exciting game against the top scorers in this league.

Spent 90 minutes chasing shadows and rode our luck against a team who hit the bar, had a goal disallowed which should have stood ( although that was probably our goalie's fault) and who had a number of chances to win the game.

I accept what you say in that SOME of our players seem to be showing a good deal of willingness to fight for the cause but we are a very long way from being a team that can compete at any level higher than mid to lower part of the Championship.

No way! I totally disagree, after 20 mins we settled into the game and were good for our point.

It's funny how we all see the game differently isn't it, though I would suggest that the possession figures from the game would suggest that all we settled into was running around without the ball.

to put it another way a lot of fans know f..... all about football and what it takes to be successful.
