Unofficial singing section 116/117 please help

Fantastic idea. I will probably end up staying in Canton though... If the numbers in 116/117 do increase as the next season draws closer, I may well be drawn to moving then. Whilst we are all in the process of talking of the subject, I'll keep to where I am

I really like the passion involved in this however I am going to be negative and say, I won't be moving from the Canton stand for a number of reason, these are;

1. If I want to move to the ninian stand for the same price, it would have to be in the front few rows which I will get wet when it rains, I did enough of that in the bob bank.

2. As I don't want to get wet I will have to pay more to go further back in the stand and I'm struggling to get the money together to renew in the canton stand.

3. After watching the stewards in the ninian stand over the last few months I can't see them letting up on standing in that stand which will result in a large number of you getting 5 game bans. I don't fancy spending the money on a seson ticket to get a 5 game ban.

As much as I agree the atmosphere would most likely improve if the singers were next to away fans the club seem adament on stoping this from happening. I feel the better option would be to put the effort into getting all the singers as far back and as central to the canton stand as possible (which the club my help to do) to create the atmosphere from there. Atleast this way you get to stand and sing throughout the game without being bothered by stewards to sit down, while at the same time the club are happy that they havent got consistent standers in the ninian stand.

Fair point Mikey. Like most things, this will only work in large numbers. We should make a poll to see roughly how many people from this forum would move over if this happened.

If enough people joined in with this, the stewards and moaners will be totally outnumbered, power in numbers

I don't necessarily see this as an opportunity for supporters from the Canton to switch to the Ninian, as they already have their singing section over there, it's more about those who are scattered throughout the Ninian stand, who are there because they don't want to be behind the goal but still want to sing and create an atmosphere at the game. It's getting all those types as close together in one section as possible

Very true and we are not doing anything wrong in any way at all, one simple goal is to get an area however big or small together next to the away fans that will be vocal because let's be honest away fans want the banter just as much as we do

Good idea. I would definitely back it as long as it doesn't turn into a nancy ultras wannabe section. In the past we have shown and have been well known for how loud and passionate we can be, let's focus on getting OUR atmosphere back and not follow the likes of Palace and pretend we're German, Turkish etc.

anyone contacted the supporters club? maybe they could put out a notice. Great idea though wont be joining myself. Feel you need at least 100/150 people though.

With the amount of interest we will easily achieve this. The biggest problem is getting fans to announce they have done it which I will be putting on fb shortly.

Couldn't pm you but got your message, not all are on social media but yes this is def happening but won't happen overnight. I will be posting regular updates on fb and on forum those who have relocated. I will be putting on the seats available.
