I'd rather wait until we are stable financially before lauding tan.

That is he is no longer going to pump money into the club so needs the fans back to make us self sustainable. So I won't be kissing his arse not now nor never.
And let's get this right had we stayed in the prem we would now still be red.

Agree with this.

Gav, Tans got a long way to go before he wins us back. He's making the right steps but as far as I can see he's completely failed in running this club, were still a mess and in a worse position than when he took over plus 3 years of disrespecting us and our culture. He can't just waltz back in with a blue shirt on and expect everything to be ok there's alot too much damage done and it's guna take years to repair

Tan''s given in to us, we should give into the new badge (which is more like a Cardiff badge than our current one)... Sooner fans and ownership move forward together, the sooner we start to see improvements on the pitch.

One day, hopefully, the club will be run by the fans. Can ownership is the way forward, Germany as the prime example.

We can't agree on anything. How could our fans run the club?

Gav, that's £169,999,999 now, as I've just donated £1 to start the ball rolling

Doesn't sound so much now, does it? Come on, guys, we can do it! ;)

I agree if if we were still in prem we would still be red also as has been pointed out ,the ground would be full for every match.
When we went up my wife said " sometimes promotion to premiership spoils clubs " . It does seem not to have done us much good fans split on many issues I e now the badge ,but I have to give Tan credit he has backed down over first the kit colors and now the badge ,OK things are not perfect but it is a step in the right direction .

My first impressions of the badge were good, I like the design and the fact that the club are showing that the badge features a dragon, very very similar to that that stands proudly outside Cardiff City Town Hall and therefore could be deemed as a local feature.

Let's be honest though the dragon is a nod to the owner Vincent Tan, who is doing his best to drive the club in the right direction after a couple of turbulent seasons in which a huge amount of money was spent.

Tan originally wanted the rebrand as payment for his investment, but he has bowed to fans pressure and returned us to Blue and give us a badge we can be proud of, with a prominent Bluebird upon it.

But yet again, the typical vocal minority of Cardiff fans are pouting about a tiny dragon on the badge as requested by the owner, despite the fact we all knew it was coming.....

Tan said in January:

'The Club badge will be redesigned to reflect the dominance of the Bluebird, while celebrating the proud history and heritage of the Club. I also wish to incorporate elements representative of my culture and beliefs, which I hope are respected'

What are people Doing to show respect? Calling the dragon 'a worm' 'a ferret' 'a piece of shit'

What more must this man do to earn the respect of the fans......

The mind boggles. :?

Problem is our fans always want more, nothing will ever be enough for some people.

If Tan had come to use and said ill turn you back to blue, back to a bluebird badge but have a small asian dragon on the bottom i refuse to believe many wouldnt have snapped his hands off.

Im happy with what we got :thumbright:

I for one like the badge and am not too bothered about the dragon at the bottom as the bluebird is the prominent image which is the main thing for me and of course its blue unlike the horrific red beer mat we had with fire and passion on it. Yes we are back in blue which we all agree is fantastic and after the amount of money that has been spent its true, Tan deserves some credit for going back on the rebrand in the first place as its something he strongly beleived in. However Tan made a mockery of the club we have loved and followed for years, like alot of articles read, following a football club isnt so much a hobby but a faith, its in our blood - we dont choose who we support, its who we are and where we come from but he didnt care about the fans then so why must the fans now care about him and what he wants - You reap what you sow. We were in the headlines for all the wrong reasons when we were on the main stage of world football last season and some people cannot forgive that as well as rebradning our football club in the firt place so no one has the right to tell fans its time to forgive and forget just because he has turned us back blue and given us a new blue badge, like the previous post says why not go back to the original badge we had? (like I said though, me personally, I am happy) Everyone is entitled to an opinion and everyone as a fan has a right to say what they feel without being dictated to - hence the term 'forum'. This just proves the fan base is still devided and will be for some time no doubt- something Tan is responsible for.

Yes well put ,I think we are all very disappointed in this seasons results too ,which doesn't help

Re: Still so much disrespect......

Well to be honest my mate, who is Chinese, says the fact that he's used an oriental Dragon on a Cardiff City badge is disrespectful to BOTH cultures. The day I give that man any respect will be the day hell freezes over

Re: Still so much disrespect......

Cut the serpent off the badge and its half decent.

But it's ten times better than the crock of shit we currently have imo.

I don't respect tan or will I applaud him as Hes only reversing what he fucked up to start with. Only we are back where we started when he Come in but with a bigger debt so we have achieved nothing really.

Just supporting the team is all we can do as fans good or bad on the pitch and I've seen some shit over the years so that side don't bother me as that's what being a supporters all about there's ups and downs

Well I'm not. I am not happy with team nor am I happy supporting the same club as the moronic element of our fans who are more concerned with abusing Tan than considering the possible impact that his departure could have on our very existence.

Why change it in the first place? He is a bully and disrespectful. When even he realised how everything was going down hill fast, he decided to give us back our blue shirts (not because he wanted to, but because he had to). Now he has given us a badge with himself on it (a worm) and expects us to be thankful.

As for the debt/financial state of the club, we are worse off now than when he arrived
As for the football, we are worse off now than when he arrived

So I cannot thank him for anything and certainly do not respect him
