If you believe this. Where would another 23000 fit in the stadium?

I think the figures are wrong somewhere

I don't believe them figures, was talking about it sat looked 17,000

Constant play off failure? We have seen more success in the last ten years than my life of watching city. Play offs cup finals ans a promotion to the top flight. This is Football, you can't be successful all the time :sad7:

It's bitter sweet, on one hand we have been spoilt rotten? Who would have thought we'd go to Wembley once never mind 4 occasions? Then there was the battling for play offs and obviously the Promotion.
On the other hand, there has been constant problems off the pitch, for much of the same period.
Everybody has different breaking points, some are unflappable.
I have no time for Slade, the football is dire, his selections are bewildering and as a result the atmosphere is awful.
On a few of our recent home games, I have said 'that's it, not while he's in charge', but I've returned after the blood has cooled.
I've even gone alone like 'Billy no mates' as four out of our group of flag had chosen not to go.
We all have mates, who have mates who go. I think the club need to wake up and realise how serious this actually is.
With Slade in charge next season, there will be four figure crowds!

It's far too expensive. Saturday would have been cheap but I've done 2 home games. Both times I tried for tickets for family stand online it said sold out. Had to book online and for me and my 2 boys the canton stand came to approx £60. Add in travel costs of over 40 quid and food and my 2 trips to the ccs have cost me over £250. The club needs to price games realistically. Off to Brentford on Saturday. 25 quid for me and 7 each for my 2 under 18s. Sensible pricing.

You say this as if this should be EVERYONE'S reason for coming back.

It is not. I'm afraid the power if the rebrand reversal was greatly exaggerated.

Wayne, I am also saying if you put the whole post up, fans should not desert when there are bad times on the pitch, you support your club through good and bad times :thumbright: :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

This should be two way traffic though Annis.
The club has not supported the fans.
The club showed no thought for the fans for a very long time.
Too late now, the damage is done. It's going to be a long while to get them back.
The biggest bollock dropped this season, is appointing Slade at a time the club are trying to win fans back.
Won't happen this season. :(

Firstly easily between 16-18000 there on Saturday. No way 11500. There are many reasons why people are not going and who are not renewing next year and I don't think we're that different to other teams who've had a sharp slide.
Personally I've missed as many games this year as I did last year mainly due to work and holidays but have always thought if it works out as £20 a game then I'm sorted. With all the recent games for a tenner lately will it be worth me gambling and getting tickets early and hoping for the offers.

100% NOT Between 16,000-18,000, I wish it was.

Re: " ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING CARDIFF CITY FANS/WHERE ARE U? "

Mon Mar 09, 2015 9:03 pm

Whatever the exact figure is it was neither the 11500 or the official attendance but fans are not turning up who've already purchased tickets and the club need to address why people in a catchment area where money is tight would choose to do something else rather than watch their team.

Re: " ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING CARDIFF CITY FANS/WHERE ARE U? "

Mon Mar 09, 2015 9:37 pm

Tan needed to go for promotion this season as it was his best way to clear the debt and /or sell the club.

Had we been challenging for the play offs then fans would have still attended and renewed! But Instead of going for Pulis, he hired Slade, ordered him to get the wage bill down and basically killed our season. Since the clear out started , the home performances have been dismal with just 1 win since middle of November and some truly awful awful performances !
Selling the players isn't going to make a massive dent in the debt owed especially when all it appears to have achieved is drive fans away in their droves and therefore lost revenue ......

I did not renew last season so I pay £35.00 when I can go.With train, beers, a bite to eat et al realistically £75.00 minimum. My five year contract has just finished I am now looking for work, looking at tossbags on 10,15, or 40 K a week! who do not try!!!!!! I think the "blind loyalty" aspect is pushing it some.Quite frankly I am disgusted by the attitude of so called professionals. But do not call people plastic or disloyal because they happen to be disenchanted by what they observe week in week out, namely overpaid gutless ponces who have no respect for the fans who pay their wages.

Let's face it, there aren't more proper fans than the ones who attend these days (apart from a small number of conscientious objectors).

The stadium will fill when the club is top flight again or is playing an exciting, winning brand of football in Championship. After that it's a case of maintaining either of those scenarios, or preferably, both.

Hat off to you for saying it as it is, this is our club our team I will support them during the highs and lows.

To be honest when they were in the Prem I couldn't afford to take the kids to see them. Now we go down every month when family commitments allow it.

Yes I would like to see a winning team yes I would like to see better football but this is Cardiff City and its why I will always love and support my team. :bluescarf:

All about price for me. Im not renewing simples. 550 this season 380 next season for 1 adult and 1 child. Shove it, drop it to 200 or 250 and ill think about it. If i had money to burn Annis I'd go home and away.

Re: " ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING CARDIFF CITY FANS/WHERE ARE U? "

Mon Mar 09, 2015 11:13 pm

Fans have had enough Annis. Everything is a compromise with Tan, from the new badge to the state of the squad. No-one asked for the rebrand where we lost loads of older fans. The Asian fusion crap also puts people off as will the red worm.
The real key for me is that the club had us in its hands for years where fans had to renew or they'd miss something.....whether it be a cup final or premier league game. Now most fans have seen both so dont give a shit.
I'm afraid a lot of people like myself would rather pick and choose games even though they have season tickets. I've seen lots of shit since 86 but even my love for the club has faded.
I missed a few games during the rebrand and have simply found more enjoyable things to do.

So will people now realise that the colour change never had a real impact on attendances. To the majority of fans it was secondary to the survival of the club and football. I have supported this cub through thick and thin for nearly 50 years. I would have continued to do so whatever the colour of the shirt, but it is a real struggle to continue to be enthusiastic through the football being produced by this clown of a manager, even though he has some decent players at his disposal. It really is shocking. He is killing the enthusiasm of thousands.

It's easy to sing when your winning. The real support shows up when they can no matter how the team are plaing or what league we are in.

I saw Nooney in our local Tescos after the Wolves match and as soon as he saw my hat the poor guy's face dropped. Probably thought that like a lot of our "fans" I was about to lay into him and tell him how shit we are...

All this negativity is NOT doing the players or staff any good. Especially when results have been improving (especially since Trollope has been here) and now we have a team which is a lot better wt working together than we were a few months ago. a season of stability... mid table finish in the championship and then see what we can do next year.

But slating your own team constantly... doesn't do anybody any good at all
