I may be overly critical, but if a badge is being re-designed, then whilst the principles are right, why wouldn't you make something to be proud of?

This version is terrible.

Yes Blue and the Bluebird are prominent but the design is horrendous.

We'll have the players in blue primark t shirts and blue asda shorts next, and have a kit to be proud of because it's blue.

4 months ago we were still in red and still had the same red beer mat badge. We could only dream of what we have now.

The only thing I would change about the badge is the red trim and turn the oriental dragon into the actual Welsh dragon.

I have said this before and firmly believe that when Vincent Tan came to the club he came with the best intentions!!!!!

Over the years his NAIVETY in how to run a football club has been extremely apparent. Football is not an exact science and he certainly has not been helped by those who were supposed to run the club on a daily basis from Board Members who were owed millions and found Tans naivety an easy way to get their money back to some of his own appointments who were awful like Lim!!!

With the Rebrand being reversed and the Club Badge more to our History and identity I think Vincent Tan is slowly starting to realize that Football is like NO other business on the planet. Yes he has made mistakes and he surely will in the future but once we are on a more stable financial footing I think we will kick onwards.

He has done most of what we want so far this year, back to blue, a better badge and once this season is over he will no doubt bring in a Manager with a backroom staff that will be better equipped to get to the Premier League.

I agree with the most part re Tan. Owning a football club isnt easy, very few make money.
Tan has no football knowledge but then football men like Sam and Ridsdale struggled to control money. I dont think Tan will demand his money back in one go so we will remain afloat and in Blue with a bluebird badge, positive news

Well to be honest with the badge we have now Tan made it a piss take with the small bluebird. He said the bluebird was weak and it did make it look like the dragon was going to kill the bluebird. But now the bluebird is strong and it looks like he is going to pick that Chinese dragon like a worm and eat the little fooker up. It's tiny that dragon so it does not bother me.

I dont mind the red trim personally, brings it all together

The Chinese dragon is there solely for the reason of Tan's vanity and has no place on a badge representing the traditions of our football club.

Change the red trim to a yellow one.

again... the dragon is AT MOST 1/3 chinese... and it's still acceptable.

Do people seriously care about this? There has been a very similar looking dragon described as a "welsh dragon" on top of city hall for the past ~106 years... when are we going to start saying "why's that there? it's got nothing to do with cardiff city"

Spot on Nukes, it's a very small compromise when you consider how far Tan has backed down.

I guess you can only please some of the people some of the time.

As it comes to it for the return to our identity is now complete. We are blue and the badge despite the silly dragon is what I've wanted. Job done.
