I could to some extent tolerate the Tan knockers provided they could come up with a realistic alternative to safeguard the future of the Club and indeed help it to progress. But the big problem is that they can't.

Certain people seem to have an agenda now cause they are still at it even after the rebrand has been reversed

If you are suggesting that the figures are adjusted (quite legally) to prevent a profit being shown for tax purposes , that just doesn`t make sense.

The club has made such big losses for several years that it has plenty of available losses for many years to come to offset against future profits before it will get anywhere near having to pay corporation tax on an annual profit.

Totally agree Luke, but he wants it back ant it was lent to us,plus if everyone is so happy with our club in the way it's been run,why are fans deserting in their thousands. Are you renewing for next season Luke?

The future of the cub? Perhaps then if everyone is so concerned and care got our club so much, 18,000 will renew
and 25,000 plus will turn up for home games :thumbright: :thumbright:

Never mind the last 20 years. Try the last 50 , except for the few years with Bob Grogan at the helm.

Not being funny here, but take away the ridiculous rebrand and the club has been run as well if not better than it ever has done. It all depends what you mean by success? Yes-We are in huge debt, but it is to the owner and not numerous individuals or companies or the HMRC, who for the last 50 years has threatened the club with closure. On the pitch, we have just had a brief period in the top tier, not seen since the 1960s, we have a ground that holds 33000 supporters with excellent facilities, better than many grounds in the Premier League.
The brand of football is shit at the moment, it's simple, it improves and the fans come back
I really don't give a flying fig if Tan stays or goes as long as he has stopped with the silly rebrand stunts and leaves others to do their jobs with the team. He does that and things will look a lot better both on and off the pitch very quickly.

Keith,

Did you ever get any explanation or answer to the question below which you raised regarding administrative cost in the previous years accounts??

“What it doesn’t explain is where all the increases come from and why non-footballing costs have gone up so hugely.

“Administration doesn’t include players’ wages so why the hell have they gone up from £7m to £15m?

“It doesn’t explain anywhere in the notes why the non-footballing costs have just about doubled.

“It is still the same stadium as it was before, still the same number of stadium staff so what is in there?

Bickering over the amount of debt is a distraction.

I think the truth is that there is still huge debt and the PL money just got sumped into the vortex.

I bet someone will decide to dispute this too!

I think this drastic transitional period we are going through at the moment will pay off eventually. Especially if we manage to avoid relegation. We are heading towards being a self sustaining club instead of a club that spends beyond its means. And with the emphasis on bringing players in who want to come here and play football, instead of picking up huge pay checks then the future could be a bright one on and off the field........ That's what I'm hoping for anyway

Good positive post and I for one hope you are right! :bluescarf:

It is very clear Tan is struggling with this venture and has failed to get the right men in place to carry the club forward. I don't know if it has been negligence on former CEOs or they have been doing a dirty on Tan but the return Tan has got for his investment has been a disaster. His reputation has certainly been dented.

The only good thing about all this is the money owed is to Tan and not the crocodile HMRC. To me it is obvious Tan is making us sustainable so anyone showing interest will see the outgoings will not trigger a visit from the tax man. The big question for me is how much is someone willing to pay for that because I do believe they are out there.

Hopefully Tan will be gone soon and the truth well I don't think we will ever know it.

Not entirely , no.

When asked face to face , Simon Lim didn`t have a clue (quite worrying for someone who was a CEO) but I subsequently found out that about £4m of it was due to extra write-offs of player values compared to the figure in the previous year (up from £3m to £7m).
