Really pleased with this signing.

The type of signing that can score the goals to keep us up. Good thing is we have an owner that doesn't have to sell if he turns out to be quality. He can hold on to him and we can then build from there.

Thought everyone said Slade was the wrong choice because he had no experience outside the lower divisions. Now you are getting excited over someone who has played for such giants as Shamrock Rovers & Chesterfield. I must be missing something.

He will have my support but I can't get over excited by a 26 year old who has yet to play outside of the lower leagues in this country. He may turn out ok, but I can't see why everyone thinks he is going to be a better signing for the club than Slade. Nobody else has snatched him up, and considering his age you have to wonder why.

Words like excellent signing, this is what we want, brilliant signing. How do forum users know this. How many on this forum have seen him play regularly. I would guess at none. He may be excellent, I hope so, but like most of you on this forum I know next to nothing about him, and will wait until I see him play a few games before I pass judgement on him.

Eoin Doyle's transfer to Championship side Cardiff City has been completed for an undisclosed seven-figure fee.
After the fee was agreed earlier in the day the striker travelled to Cardiff to discuss personal terms and undertake a medical - and the transfer has now been completed.

Doyle signed for the Spireites from Scottish side Hibernian in the summer of 2013 on a free transfer and scored 32 goals in his 69 appearances for the club.

The 26 year-old was part of the side that was crowned League 2 champions in May 2014 and leaves the Proact Stadium having scored 25 goals in all competitions for the Spireites this season.

Speaking earlier in the day Spireites chief executive Chris Turner had said: "We have reached an agreement with Cardiff after negotiating a deal we feel is good business for the club.

"Some of the money we receive will be used to reduce the club's debt but funds are also being made available to manager Paul Cook to strengthen the squad and one or two signings are in the pipeline."
