I honestly could not care as long as they had Cardiff City at heart

Our club is being driven in to the ground anyway and is a joke.

The first question was: "Brayford and Le Fondre, two regular starters, have gone. Have you improved the quality of the team?’
Slade replied: “I haven’t really replaced Adam yet. But in terms of Lee Peltier, the fact that he’s been captain at two other Championship clubs, played about 300 games, you’ll have to check that, is a good strong player, had a £1million move. I think it’s excellent business he’s come here on free transfer. An outstanding player.”
Chris then asked: "When you first came in you were aware you had to win over a lot of fans. Do you think you’ve taken a backward step in that regard recently?’
Slade responded curtly: “Well I don’t think I will win them over when you start making comments like ‘Get your money back at Middlesbrough’ when it was an excellent performance for 60 minutes. But then I don’t expect anything.”
At that point Slade got up, said ‘Okay, thanks guys’ and abruptly walked out of the room.
WalesOnline football correspondent Chris Wathan was at The Riverside to report on Cardiff’s 2-1 loss to Boro earlier this month but he didn’t write anything in his match report about whether fans should get their ticket money back.
He was critical of the team’s performance, saying they barely created any chances from open play.
“There is an irony in this Cardiff City side attempting to play with a midfield diamond. Because there is no shine and no cutting edge. Dazzling they are not,” wrote Chris, as Slade’s Bluebirds lost yet again and were uninspiring going forward.
Chris’ MediaWales colleague Steve Tucker, who was also present at Slade’s pre-Derby Press conference this morning, tweeted afterwards: “Wow, sign of a man under pressure. CCFC boss Russell Slade storms out of Press conference under questioning from Chris Wathan.’

Cardiff City boss Russell Slade walks out of Press conference following WalesOnline questions

Cardiff manager Slade abruptly leaves room after our man Chris Wathan asks questions the fans want answered
Cardiff City’s under-fire manager Russell Slade appeared to storm out of his pre-match Press conference ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Derby because he didn’t like questioning from WalesOnline football correspondent Chris Wathan.
Slade got up and abruptly left the media briefing at the Bluebirds’ Vale of Glamorgan training HQ after our man Chris asked him two pertinent questions on behalf of the fans.
Many supporters have expressed anger and discontent at the style of football and results being achieved under Slade and disbelief that he has got rid of so many of the club’s better players.
Exits and signings
Amongst the Bluebirds who have departed under Slade are Mats Daehli, Ravel Morrison, Javi Guerra, Kim Bo-Kyung, Adam Le Fondre and John Brayford.
Slade has brought in a number of under-whelming signings, with Alex Revell (from Rotherham), Scott Malone (Millwall), Lee Peltier (Huddersfield) and Stuart O’Keefe (Palace) joining.
Many fans believe Cardiff have gone back in time.
The first question from our man Chris was: "Brayford and Le Fondre, two regular starters, have gone.
At that point Slade got up, said ‘Okay, thanks guys’ and abruptly walked out of the room.
Performance criticism
Chris was at The Riverside to report on Cardiff’s 2-1 loss to Boro earlier this month but he didn’t write anything in his match report about whether fans should get their ticket money back.
He was critical of the team’s performance, saying they barely created any chances from open play.

Slade’s Cardiff are in the middle of a woeful run of form and the manager desperately needs his players to turn it on against Derby at Cardiff City Stadium tomorrow to ease the growing anger over his management from the fans.

I'm not to sure they are, atleast under ole we tried playing even if the players wasn't fit enough to do it for a full match we tried we're like a shit mans stoke now
Okay then, there is no room for sentiment.
So tomorrow lets arrange for all the players that have been complete shite for months to leave the club. No sentiment. Tarah lads. We'd have a squad of about 5 players.
For some reason our fans are used to division in the fan base now. Instead of getting behind the team they want a manager sacked that has been in charge for 3 months. Even though he is managing under Tan.
Cardiff City football club have played shit football for how many years???. So what makes you think we should be playing samba football now?.
Nothing sentimental about keeping Slade on. It is logical as nothing will be gained from him going.
Or lets sack him and bring someone else in. Still the same crap players that don't try. Still the same Tan selling off our best players. Then 2 months down the line we lose a few games and our fans want him sacked again
We gave Solksjaer around a year and he was TOTALLY DIABOLICAL. He was giving funds which Slade has not been given. He had a huge squad compared.

This should not be overlooked. Mackay could have stood up to the board and said that it was not going to be good for the team, for team spirit, for club/fan relations etc. He only said once he'd left that he basically backed the return to blue, but said nothing while in charge. Solskjaer of course then also did nothing. Fair play to Slade, he was quite public about not being keen on the situation, and he must have had a role in getting the ball rolling.
You don't still believe our manager and chairman said those things in piblic without knowing tan had already made his decision? It was a publicity stunt. All puppets, malky would have done the same they are just playing the game

There is no point in changing the manager now. Let's give it to the end of the season. Then, if we are struggling or relegated, that's the time to bring in a new manager.
In the meantime let's get behind him and stop sniping.

Solskjaer really only had about 5 months when he could actually work with the players. Getting rid of him when he really was trying to change our style of football was where we went wrong.

I really would like the pertinent questions asked of Vincent Tan !?
What did you Vincent Tan ,see in Russell Slade's managerial talent , that convinced you he was the man to take the club forward ? ?!
Additionally , certain sections of the fan base , see you Vincent Tan as the major cause of Cardiff City's current dire predicament ! What do you say to those calling for you to hasten the sale of the club ?!

Ive spoken to 3 reporters who were there at the press conference and they all say that Slade had a right pop at Chris Wathan, stuff theyve asked me not to put on here, Hmm not good,Slade is losing the plot, rem we play like Real Madrid.

If Russell Slade had 'stormed out' of a press conference with Terry Phillips, or even Tucker, I would be very disappointed. But Chris Wathan usually covers Swansea, so I'm sort of glad that Slade had a pop at him. He's obviously feeling the pressure, but hacks like Wathan set out to confront. Unfortunately Russell Slade bit.
Fri Jan 30, 2015 4:58 pm
Well if Slade crumbled under pressure from those relatively simple questions it's no real surprise a team of his crumbles virtually every week is it?
I think if a couple of honest fans were allowed to ask a few questions regarding tactics, style of of play & possession, they would be a lot more difficult to answer than those.
He'd probably run out of the room screaming in that case!

well well well, the tan-proclaimed Arsene Wenger acting very un-arsene like. The question of the standard of football should of been asked months ago. For me this is the first sign that his job is on the line as it is a soft question and he buckled. Some defeats Wenger is questioned as to whether he has taken his team as far as he can, but laughs it off. Slade cannot deal with the football at the higher leagues
Fri Jan 30, 2015 5:28 pm
what's more, Chris Waltham is doing a good job and asking him a question that his readers would want Slade's answers. The others at WOL should try it sometime
Fri Jan 30, 2015 5:34 pm
Slade looked very shaky in his conference following recent defeats. I said so in a previous post. This one just confirms fof me that he's aware that things are going pear shaped for him.
A defeat tomorrow will put him right in the headlights.

Slade has placed himself under even more pressure by walking out. If ever he needs a result its tomorrow.
Fri Jan 30, 2015 5:47 pm
why is no one holding the players responsible?.
The players need a result just as much.
Fri Jan 30, 2015 5:51 pm
That Boro question was bollox. It's not like the team weren't trying and they put up a great fight against one of the divisions top sides.
Rubbish, but Wathan is a JB so probably enjoyed stirring. As for Tucker, he hasn't got a clue and loves to gossip like an old woman. The only reason he got the footy role for the Echo was that all the other sports journalists are egg chasers.

It might possibly because we are CCFC fans and not pathetic vultures that we want a guy who is frankly not fit for purpose to move on , surely we want the best for the club , Russell Slade does not provide that !
The performances under his guidance are there surely for all to see !

Well said sir, it was hardly a grilling.
Fri Jan 30, 2015 7:52 pm
I do think he's out of his depth.
Our style of football (if you can call it that) has been the worse I've ever seen City play in all my 45 years.
Route one would be a joy to watch compared to the dross we serve up at the moment. The possession stats don't lie.
How they expect fans to keep paying to watch that shite week in week out is truly taking the piss out of the fans.
However, those questions in the press conference were childish and tbh pathetic.
How the feck was he supposed to answer that? No wonder he walked out. If that tw*t of a reporter had asked him something like " Russell, can you please explain why our possession stats, especially at home, have been so poor and what is he and his coaching staff doing to rectify this?"
Now that's a serious factual question I'd like to hear an answer to.
Fri Jan 30, 2015 8:14 pm
Hardly Frost and Nixon was it.
The bloke is out of his depth and this is the begining of the end.
Imagine playing for him. Players will be laughing their bollocks off.
Respect - Gone

I don't see what all the fuss is about really. He's not the first person to react badly to some grilling. I applaud the reporter for asking questions that are justified and Slades reaction is of a man who his understandably feeling the heat. We can all get the hump when things are not going our way and he's no different. Would rather him walk out than continue to say the same old junk he's splurted out previously and he's avoided the " people in this part of the world" shit so I am thankful for that.
Sat Jan 31, 2015 2:05 pm
He been found out . The media know he under pressure.
