This is a very strange one and if its overturned then the girl must be punished but our judicial system in this country sucks so she will just get a tap on the wrist while Ched Evans will be scarred for life where most people will not believe he is innocent. He should be allowed to carry on plying his trade as a professional footballer as he has already lost nearly 3 years of his working life. It's not right but what can we do.

Why should she be punished?

for making allegations that were untrue, surely you can see that

She didn't make any allegations. None.

in that case it makes it an even bigger farce if she didn't make the allegation. Who actually made the allegation then? and why hasn't she come forward to say it wasn't rape, please don't say that she couldn't recall the incident because anyone can say that.
Anyway I'm not going to discuss this any further, my personal opinion is that he is innocent and there was a lot more to Ched's arrest than a lot of people know. She had sex with 2 men and only one is charged with rape, hmmmmmmmmm as they say

So after all your posturing, you know nothing about the case!
Your guessing & hoping he's innocent.
Pathetic. I hope something like this doesn't happen to a loved one of yours.

yes I do know the case.....HE HAS BEEN SET UP. Oh and by the way, my daughters don't get paralytic to the point where they don't know what's going on around them unlike that girl, or so she says and they certainly do NOT go back to a hotel with a guy to have sex.
Anyway let us wait to see what this new evidence is and if he loses his appeal then I will admit I was wrong but I will expect you to admit you were wrong if he is found innocent.

Haha admit I was wrong?
Where have I said I thought he was guilty??
You see you've immediately jumped to conclusions presuming I think he's guilty so thank god the British legal system is not going on want you think & what you want.
You weren't in court or privy to all the legal documentation involved in a huge case like this no more than I was.
Like I say it's all internet guess work on your part.
And by the way, I'm glad you've brought your kids up correctly just as I have with mine.

This sort of thing happens in every town every weekend. I'm not saying its right but I cannot understand the utter vitriol directed at ched when there aren't many blokes who havnt shagged a drunk lass.

shoplifting and drink driving goes on every weekend. its no excuse to say just because others get away with it he shouldn't get vitriol.

the law is very clear on what rape is and yes, rape happens very often has it has a low conviction rate as its notoriously difficult to prove, but you are missing the point.

"the law is very clear on what rape is", I also thought it was, but now they are saying that being intoxicated removes your ability to give consent, the water is now muddied by this fact. What level of intoxication can one no longer give consent? is it based on a blood alcohol level? If so do we all need to provide a specimen of breath? does this apply equally to men and women?

Spot on mate, he might have "new evidence" but at the end of the day, he was proven guilty. Wait for the tribunal to make their decision :old:
