Slade picks the team,Slade takes the blame.

A manager for 45 minutes.

The one thing that worries me, is that if VT sacks Slade then Scott young will be manager  to the championship then

Arrived late so missed the goal, sat in 114 in row AA better view than normal, weird seen a different game today.

Morrision is shocking for a professional footballer, he takes no responsibility and put the pressure back on his young inexperienced goalkeeper far too often.

Noone - Gone - If we can get a few quid for him great, but very very poor

Jones - Can only play in a 451 or offers nothing except at set plays

Whitts got the usual boo boys in a tizz, but the lack of movement or anyone offering themselves shows the squad is shot. The only player who'll take responsibility.

Fabio - Never ever going to play in a 442, his natural instinct is to attack

On paper the team looked decent I thought, so what the hell went wrong. I thought Slade was underwhelming but he would be OK, old school, organise us, get us fit and hungry. But that second 45 today was just painful and worse than the mess I saw under OGS.
I'm up for Dave Jones worth a try, used to love the football.

Yea let's sack him while the team he inherited gets sold from under his feet. There's no confidence there at all, players have given up well before slade come in and with what's going on at the club with cost cutting big time another manager will face the same from within the club and from the stands. Slades here for a reason to nod as there's a complete overall of players going on so tan can sell up imo and tbh I can't see most other managers working along with what's is going on at the club and why slades here to start with.

I've been a big fan of Whitts but he was very poor today. Slade is dragging so many players down & down it's sad to watch.

Who's going to want the job now?

Personally I'd suggest getting Justin Edinburgh from Newport, he's done a good job there and would welcome the step up even into our mess of a club.

Ian, thats exactly whats going to happen.

Tan will strip this club of every bit of asset it has.

Your right there, who is going to want to be our manager? ? ?

He's very ambitious and would do no worse than Slade.

My biggest worry is who we'd end up with. You just know that they'll somehow find the only manager in football worse than slade.

Probably Joe Kinnear or someone.

Fabio back, Harris, Jones and revell all what I'd pick

Trouble could be that if Slade goes, Young could be back charge temporarily.

Re: My View ' SLADE HAS TO GO ASAP/ANOTHER DISASTER TODAY '

Today we were piss poor just can't string two passes together no attacking threat just hoping for a set piece or lump it in and hope Jones can get on the end of it.I honestly think we are going to be in a relegation battle but have we got the players who are prepared for the scrap somehow I doubt it :o

I was prepared to give Slade a chance and maybe he should be given the chance to build his own team however he seems unable to motivate the players and his tactics (Are there any?) are dire. Personally I think Tan will stick with him regardless and he might just be able to keep us up but that is only virtue of the points we have over the bottom 3 and although it's hard to believe there MIGHT be three worse sides than us :old:

This is the best thread I have read in a while, Every problem and concern has been highlighted better than I could ever put it!!!!

Justin Edinburgh would be a fantastic appointment, he has done wonders for Newport and although not the finished article he is already light years better than Slade.

If Tan wants to build a foundation for the future I believe Justin is the right man to start the revolution with :ayatollah:
