He's got to cut down the wage bill and bring in cheaper replacements .
We had 30odd players just collecting pay cheques and not playing . High earners have to go .
You'll have to get used to playing In the championship and for a few years or maybe even league 1 if it carries on this year.

No player can settle at this club until we have a decent manager.

Sheffield United have tabled a £1.5m bid for Bluebirds defender John Brayford Sky understands Russell Slade will listen to offers for striker Adam Le Fondre.
Two of Russell Slade's Cardiff City stalwarts, John Brayford and Adam Le Fondre, could both be on their way out of Cardiff City.

Thursday 22nd Jan 2015.
Manager Slade has made full-back Brayford and striker Le Fondre two of his main players since coming on board as boss.
However, Sheffield United want Brayford and Blade boss Nigel Clough has moved in with a sixth enquiry and an improved offer believed to be in the region of £1.5m.
That’s around the same as Cardiff paid for him two years ago.
Sheffield United have had an earlier offer rejected during this transfer window, while they made a number of enquiries last summer when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was in charge.
Slade has spoken to Brayford, 27, about Clough’s interest and the player has been given time to think about his future.
Brayford played on the left of the back four during the 2-1 defeat at Middlesbrough in midweek, while Cardiff have moved to strengthen in the full-back areas by signing Scott Malone from Millwall and enquiring about Huddersfield’s Lee Peltier.
If Brayford does make a move to Sheffield that could trigger the Peltier transfer.
Le Fondre, 28, appears unsettled after being left out of the starting line-up at Middlesbrough when Kadeem Harris supported main striker Alex Revell.
Slade has stuck with Le Fondre, but the former Premier League forward has netted only twice in 16 appearances since the manager took charge and is low on confidence.
A source at Cardiff City revealed that they will listen to offers for Le Fondre and could let him to go out on loan.
Huddersfield badly need to sign a striker and have been linked with moves for Cardiff duo Le Fondre and Nicky Maynard.
There could be five senior players moving on from Cardiff in search of regular first team football between now and the end of this transfer window on February 2.
Brayford, Le Fondre, Guido Burgstaller, Kim Bo-Kyung and Maynard are all being linked with moves.
Slade is also keen to bring a couple of players in with a midfield leader and a striker among his priorities.

Think a lot of us guessed there would be a fire sale of our top players, and for Tan it's a matter of recouping as much money as possible and cutting his losses before getting out. He said he would leave this club in a better position than when he arrived. We may not be hours away from going into administration when he goes, but it looks more than likely we will be in a lower division with massive debts. I think we've got many years of struggling ahead, but us older fans have had plenty of experience with that in the past. Just hope we don't end up down the bottom end of Div 2 again playing in front of 3,000 fans.

I don't blame you. Been going since 1959 also. Brayford is our best outfield player. And as you are bound to know, we ALWAYS have sold our best players.

I know a Millwall fan and we speak on a daily basis and when the window comes they have always had to put up with a low budget and looking at not quality players, all they've ever known.
Our supporters have become greedy and when I see the comment I would rather see us blue in league 2 quotes it's nothing but pure BS.
Because people are complaining about transfer targets yet this part of the procedure the club has to go through for cost cutting.
I like everyone else am not enjoying seeing some of our first team players go but this is what Tan, the board, Malky and Ole has done, put us in a situation where we have to get rid of high earners.
It's quite sad really how greedy some of our supporters have become.
